Would be crazy for the Kiwis not to have at least a bit of a hit in the morning. They’ve got some bit hitters took in the fat spinner and Southee, both of whom can murder bowing. I wouldn’t be surprised if they took it relatively normally to begin with though.

I did take a final draw lay at 2.8 to go back to a tiny draw red but regret not being brave about it and going properly red again. Was a bit too sleepy to do my research properly.

If I Auto-Mugged now I'd just about be in profit, having been deep, deep in second-hand food from almost the outset.

forecast, rain maps and radar all look clear for two days play, shifted all my green onto NZ. Happy

Decent move for now. I may trade on England to show at least some resistance with the bat second time around by taking some draw if it gets to 5+, which I think it’s like to as far too short still now  but I’ll have most of my green on Kiwi. Don’t know why I didn’t lay the draw again at 3.3 or so earlier. Feels wrong to do so at 3.8, higher than several of my backs.

yes, i missed the low 3's on the draw as i was asleep, trading England is a good idea, i think they may take some wickets in the morning session, if they do that will move the game along nicely.

ignore that last post it makes no sense, is been a long day

i mean't to say trading on England to show some resistance is a good idea, however i think they may take some wickets in the morning session and that would move the game along.

So, to clarify - are you saying that an abstention from trading England isn't necessarily a bad idea unless they fail to not show some resistance, in that they may disappoint those expecting them not to succeed in taking wickets in the morning session and by doing thus may, contrariwise to the prevailing consensus on likelihood, move the game along, making the trade a good one, presuming correctness of initial direction (assumed long), achieving a suitable exit point notwithstanding? Crazy

The last time Eng showed some spunk and resisted in a test match succesfully just happened to be on this ground.

Will the kiwis just play normally today or will they try to get on with it? i suppose the fat spinner will be the one to bash it around a bit but i would like to see them being busy, they are already 175 ahead and they have another dig if they need it. the last thing they ( or me )want is to just to bock for the first session. this is obviously my wallet speaking but i think the kiwis have got to grasp this opportunity.

Eng have not been toiling in field, they will be relatively fresh and have had 2 days to boounce back from the crushing psychological damage of being bolwed out that cheaply ....5 or 6 of them remain from Auckland saved test from last tour.   There are grounds for believing a Houdini is possible.

this is where test cricket needs to wake up imo, go and try and win the game instead of trying not to lose it
