Still draw possibilities even with no stoppage days 4 & 5 surely, NZ pitches dont worsen like other places.

I think today is toast now.

But we have days 4 and 5 totally free of rain at this stage... so what does that make the draw?

It all hinges on how England can apply themselves in their second dig....

It was more people pulling their money out than money being gobbled up that sharp fall. Sad

England fans trying to recoup their losses on Eng will pile on the draw. SOME people will never bet against their countryCrazy

Eng will just try to see off the first 2 with dead bat tactics. It could be very dull

58 a/o and the draw is 2.8 Crazy

CS are you back to a manageable position yet?

I reackon if we have 2 days play with the extra hour 2.80 should be about the absolute low. I am laying off my 3.15 back in portions. If the weather forecast for Auckland deteriorates for tomorrow I will hold onto some, but if not I will lay the whole lot off and then some more.

Yeah I am no longer in horror loss territory but still a long way from a redless state.

looks like 2.80 is holding at this stage. I really cannot make an argument that it should be lower if the current forecast holds. There are 194 overs left in the game. So lets say NZ hits a quick 100 off 30 overs that gives them a big lead at tea or thereabouts. That gives them 4 sessions minimum to bowl England out with a session left over to get any runs required. After the 58 A/O probably not going to be repeated but Boult and Southee plenty of rest and I can not see England getting more than 300 in their second dig...

"was looking promising momentarily, but then it started raining again" Its very black to the West. I think unless the wind changes dramatically and the front goes to the west that that is it for the day.

They are drying the outfield so I am presuming, yes it has stopped raining

yeah me too. Pics just now looked pretty clear though, that said it is/was in a clear bit on the radar so that made sense. Waiting for the new forecast for Tomorrow to come sometime soon.

I am starting to think that that one band may be it for Auckland or is there more behind it? Because if that is the case, who knows they could get back on at about 7:30pm, as not too much water has actually fallen yet....
By:
Cardinal Scott
When: 24 Mar 18 05:30
That Eng know they are not doomed now must put them in a better frame of mind when they bat again.
By:
tyco161
When: 24 Mar 18 05:30
They have had about 1.6mm of rain to date, whatever falls in that band, and then it could be clear. Will keep watching that radar.
By:
tyco161
When: 24 Mar 18 05:31
upon reflections that band does look quite thick so it may take a bit too long. Oh well, opportunity maybe not there...
