Yes, so pleased I got a load of lays in of them around and just under 6s to go £3k red. I don't think the batting will hold up well enough but it's a flat deck now that they could easily get a lot of good use of.

Saffer bowling is though much better than NZ..Rabada and co would make a quick work of the NZ mugs

I was right to bail on my big NZ red. I just had a feeling NZ would take wickets.

Pitch hasn't done that much, really.

ive got a feeling it wont rain at all, its all down to how NZ bat in their first innings now, providing they get these last 3 wickets pretty cheaply.

mind you, SAF would of taken this after being 22/3

Could do with SA at least dragging this out to some time well into the afternoon session and scoring a good few over 300. Problem I have with my position now is that nothing other than a whole load of SA tail end batting improves it very much. When SA bowled out, I'll need them to take wickets to avoid NZ shortening yet further with my £3k red but that will kill my large draw green. I suppose I ought to get a decent draw lay in now but feels wrong on a flat track with a bad forecast for day 5 and already near lunch on day 2 without the side batting first all out.

Fatslogger..this is not a flat pitch..you don't score under 3s on a flat pitch...just wait till saffers come and ball..this pitch is no where close to be a flat one.

Just about to say, another awful, awful shot.

If SA win the toss and bat first QDK should open the batting imho. Hard ball, plenty of time to rest before going into the field!

That is the thing Dan in today's international cricket you don't have too many batsmen who have the test match temperament...get the good one early and the rest would just gift their wickets..we are seeing that here in sa innings..we ll see more of it in nz innings.

Possibly but teams hate changing the batting order. Personally think they should be more flexible but if it upsets them hugely...

well this has gone badly for me this morning but NZ are going to have to play really well for the rest of the match to win, so theres no need for me to start panicking.

Latham, Kane and Roscoe and that Raval too, all slow coaches I fail to see how Kiwi's can win this on this slow pitch!  right now I have a lot of Kiwi red and I'm not massively worried.

you seem to know your cricket cardinal, so on what you have said above i take it that you feel south africa will win, as surely you cannot fancy the draw?

Hmm, said score 350 slowly then bowl SA out would do it. I don't think they will and am not that worried either but the possibility does exist.

I just think Kiwis are far too short, they will eat up so much time in their knock with the personnel they have or they will lose wickets, I would not rule out draw, might be some iffy weather around later on.

another donkey wicket. Just hit out or get out Morne!

now we will see just how good or bad this wicket is. imo kiwis will be skittled for less than 240

The pitch does not look great for batting although not too difficult to negotiate. It will be interesting to se what happens from here. SA do have some firepower for sure but will the ball respond on the surface /atmosphere?

My lay of NZ couldn't of gone much worse but they have still got a lot of work to do to win this.

NZ look a little short to me as they are still a little way behind. New ball due after lunch tomorrow. I think the order of the day for me would be to lay NZ to cover the draw so I am hoping for no early wickets!

The game is evenly poised. I suggested NZ were in no way out of this though SA were and for me remain favourites. The cloud sill be here on Saturday when NZ are likely to be batting.

Another well contested game if a little slow.

Have cashed out again for a modest red. I can't call this one at all, even the forecast for Sunday seems to have improved a little but can't be trusted. Don't want to have a big exposure to any outcome in this game.
