I moved some of my draw green to SAF at 1.06. Still a nice profit.

funny thing is if they got on and NZ got skittled for under 100. They'd be 160 behind on the last day

Why don't all 4 captains just shake hands.

because they'd have to travel from South Africa to the Caribbean and that would take time and money

Its just that the format with the least priority has been scheduled at the wrong time. We'll see more of this im sure.

Meanwhile i can't stop thinking. The groundsmen at Durban and PoS must have made a fortune!

Watching the inspection and it doesn't look good. Saw an umpire twist his foot in the ground a big piece of mud comes up

i cashed out some of my green last night thinking we'l get play and wke up to draw 1.01

Anyhow not complaining as this was a train from 1.7 down! A profit is a profit.

Surely, international grounds must have either super-draining outfields (as in UK) or complete sheet covering of outfield (as in Sri Lanka)

I don't think UK is that advanced. When last did UK hold tests in October - March? Off season is off season. It's not like these grounds had super drainage facilities which disappeared this year. They were always like this. Its the games that have been played at the wrong time. Asi said, the least important format in terms of money is paying the price.

what an absolute waste of everyones time these two tests have been. Imagine having to field for 90 overs tomorrow knowing it's a complete waste of time

Well I walked away with enough green for a nice meal in each Test so am not going to complain. IMHO they need to look at the structuring of test Cricket World wide. For me getting up at 5.30 and watching cricket till 10 pm is a little excessive and borders on the obsessive compulsive ( but I won ha ).

Someone should prepare a calender with vested interests and the TV companies. Let T20 have first pick for all I care but Let India choose with Big bash, Carribean, Paks etc and incorporate test Matches into the system. It is wrong for WI to have Test atches but their best players and the fans going to a CPL bash! Three Test Matches on at the same time is wrong as are two pleyed out of season and predictably rained off!

Maybe the fans in each country should come together and decise as the grown yp's are more interested in Empire building! For example we could follow the IPL and have a National T20 condensed straight after the IPL then go on to Test Match season. Then the next T20 season or Test match series depending on season. Inter weave Test Matches from different countries etc.

Or let anrachy prevail and watch our sport wither

Any chance of play on the 5th day? Will the umps risk the player's safety when there is zero chance of any result?
It was still pretty muddy yesterday

i hope not, we will get paid out earlier Grin.

Ive cleaned up on these two tests tbf, but i would much rather of done it with some clever trading backwards and forwards as the match progresses than lumping on the draw.

Small green on NZ innings runs market but market void if less than 20 overs bowled so hoping for some play today.

Strange how they never used sawdust or anything to dry those wet parts.
To be fair, when I saw those mud patches on Sunday, I did fear the worst as they just churn and churn.
