Here we go, shepherding the strike. This drives the market nuts as it creates a stalemate

I just can't see it being a draw but when the pitch is like it is why would you lay the draw at 8s when you only have to wait a couple of hours? Its insane

I seem to have hoovered up some more draw at prices I thought would drop and didn't so far today so have over £8k green on draw but near 1.7k red on results. I can stand the loss if I have to but would obviously want to get out with at least some of my shirt if I can, even if NZ lose. Also I have to go to bed now. At present I have lays from 7 down to 3.75, a lot of them the lays I've had since day one, just sitting there patiently for the game to come back to them. Can't quite work out whether I'm being too greedy or not when if all taken I'll have £100 green on results and £500 on the draw. That would obviously represent quite the comeback from day 1. Feels about the right sort of middle ground to steer between aggression and caution but it has the huge disadvantage that when I wake up I'm probably going to be quite irate I didn't play it differently in one direction or the other.

Brave man. I'm up for the day almost as much as I'm red on results (due to outrageous luck on the T20 lottery, partly) so, I'm calmer about it than I would otherwise be. Thing is, I'm not actually sure being awake for it will be helpful. I suppose if the openers do really well I might run the risk of pulling the lays down a bit if I'm up to watch it but it's would still be a bigger risk taken. Similarly, I suppose, if it looks like a wicket could fall at any moment I might bail earlier but then I often just ride that kind of stuff out and hope the batsmen play themselves in.

Staying up for a bit as have football research to do for tomorrow anyway. Can't say I've enjoyed the experience so far though, albeit that it hasn't don't all that much. Don't mind them playing the odd shot, given that they're not going to save the game without scoring some runs in the process. It's more about playing time though, really.

Poor shot selection

It was probably too far outside off stump and marginally high for the pull shot to be entirely safe. If he manages to avoid a really nasty top edge he's going to be okay though.

That, by contrast, was an absolutely abortionate choice of shot.

Finally a comm pointing out that he was technically flawed for his first innings dismissal.

Yes, I would feel a whole lot more comfortably with £250 of my exposure chalked off and the next tranche threatened. Not that I think a couple of overs even with some runs scored should pull the draw down by miles with so much time left but I was hoping.

There is definitely a tipping point where it will drop like a stone. Once I see that I will be looking to exit. I need 5 for a very juicy win
