True. My guess (and that's all it can be) is that 550 and lunch will be the target. Have layed 600 runs (and 575 to a smaller amount).

Won't know until tomorrow. Will expect a loss and hope to be pleasantly surprised. Good luck with your draw bet Charlie, it should trade lower at some stage. I was on 8 pre-match and traded out at 7.2 which I left up overnight. Also backed Aus at 1.41 yesterday.

I see my 7 lay of the draw has been snaffled now so am only £250 red Aus; £800 red NZ and £2260 green draw, with some further lays up at 6 and an optimistic 5.5. Don't feel this has gone that well and don't see too much further opportunity for now but any kind of a plausible start for NZ and I should be decent green on the only two outcomes really in play.

Be careful with that, Warner has 240 odd. They will not declare until he gets out. No need for an early declaration they have all the time in the world. The weather forecast was iffy at the gabba, no such problems here.
Thanks Jucel, you make some good observations. These are only small fun bets much smaller than I have on the match result. I thought that Warner would have the 300 milestone before the total reaches 550 assuming he isn't dismissed. Is there any real point in going on past this? The best chance of getting NZ out is to leave a tantalising total rather than a demoralising one and Smith seems to have an aggressive attitude to the game. I may well be wrong in which case my disappointment will be with Australia rather than my bank balance. Enjoy the game, I'm off to bed now so that I can wake up in time to see the second half of the day's play. |

Think I would be taking unders. Don't bet on that sort of thing, but I think NZ bowled not very well yesterday. A luxury Aus bowlers will not afford to NZ.
Of course, Warner probably the reason they were a bit off as they didn't know where to bowl, but Aus know where to bowl, and will do it with much better accuracy from the start. At least IMO. At the very least, I expect that line to come in a fair way before the end of today. I think probably 290 or so. |
