The Rugby World Cup has been fantastic, the two best sides actually made it to the final but the only downside has been that both teams are Antipodean! I thought you would have enjoyed it more. England going out was not as predictable as the England Cricket Team being knocked out of the Cricket World Cup but the poor performances were predicted. We knew we didn't have our best players on the pitch, flair was suppressed and the selection and tactics proved our undoing. The RWC was set alight by Japan beating the mighty Springboks. The cricket equivalent of say the great Australian team losing a Test Match not to Bangladesh but Canada ( no offence intended to either Bingo's or Moose Fcukers ). The sight of grown Japanese men and women crying in the stands even before the match had ended was a sight to behold. Fiji and particularly Argentina continued the underdog fight except that Argentina can no longer be considered minnows or underdogs. They were magnificent and won many new fans and a place among the elite...teams like England!. I am sorry for anybody that doesn't understand or enjoy Test Cricket. That's all I have to say about that. |

I said last match that England set about their chase like a one day match rather than at T20 pace. I think they only needed something like 24 before bad light ended things. They should have set about the chase more robustly. I said that at the time not in hindsight. Poor leadership in my view from both captain and management. You should always take your shot at glory. Those Japanese Rugby players could have taken the draw but went for the win. They are immortal now.
