really looking forward to this fifth day
smashing stuff even if it took 3 days to get to an interesting match |
By:
It will be a hard decision for the aussies to make, I think they will bat on for about 45 mins and smash everything that india bowls. As a captain I think Smith will be thinking about a defeatless test series first. If he does declare before start of play and India get 100 runs in the first session, then they will win. So I will be waiting to see what Smith does and have a nibble on India to win, good luck all and hope you a finebetting day/night depending where you are.

I'm pretty certain that this match will end in a draw. Even money looks Enormous for trade imo
By:
Yes i agree trader, but the rain should stay away from the SCG as its more down south, so it will be an intresting day of play.
By:
how will they bat the day out on that wicket?
surely there will be a collapse at some stage? i have been wrong before , only once though, and that was in 1973. |
By:
Aus have enough already IMO, but agree with others and think they will bat on.
By:
A lead of 348 runs now, 90 overs for the day, its gettable and they will go for it, like I said if the Aussies declared now and India start the first session with 1 for 100, then they will have 60 overs for 250, intresting at 20/1.
By:
gettable?
whats the best last day chase at SCG ? |
By:
India do draws with ease. Forget chasing it down tha's a non-runner altogether
By:
True mate, if you look at the statistics its nearly impossible, but who can say that it wont happen today. I would rather have 10 on a India to win than to risk 100 on Australia
By:
if india get anywhere near a win, highly doubtful, the brisbane line comes in with six boundary riders
australia in control. only a total dope captain could lose it from here |
By:
Yes that the thing ronaldingo, I think that the ausslies wouldnt want to go out on a defeat and thats why i think he will bat for at least 30 mins and put the pressure right on. However if he decided to declare now then he will be in 2 minds on how to play out the game and maybe be on the back foot the whole day.
We shall see. |
By:
Aussies are pretty dull when it comes to sportsmanship. Dhoni was polite when discussing the very late declaration in his last Test game, he said "didn't want to talk about that". Very diplomatic.
By:
yep
predicate any investment on the state of the wicket. and its very humid and overcast here, the new ball will hoop around i reckon. scoring runs consistently at 4 or more an over on that deck will be impossible |
By:
ive gone for a short term trade on austalia, ive laid them for a lot at 2.3. i hope they bat on cause it will take a little bit of time out of the game. as soon as aus hit 3.0s im out. a bit of rain would be nice as well.

late today at best |
By:
Australia will definitely come out and hit 70 or 80 off 10 overs - I'd bet anything on it
By:
I think so too trader, and after that they can enjoy and have fun out there
By:
yeah, thanks for that ronaldingo. i think they will bat on for a bit. take india completely out of the equation and crowd the bat for 80 overs.
By:
dont bet everything on it PJ
By:
market is speaking volumes here....
By:
i see the indian price is coming in and the draws drifting. maybe someone knows that smudger is gonna declare. i cant believe how much smith has come on. last time he toured england he was a walking wicket.
By:
I wouldn't bet on it not raining either.
Some rain forming on the radar to the west. |
By:
India 12/1 to break a 4th innings chase at this ground by over 100 runs?
By:
pxb
the weather quarter is wollongong , to the south thats where it would come from. its getting very warm now, and the clouds will burn off soon. rain unlikely to intervene in all likelyhood it will be over before any sign of rain/showers/storms imho |
By:
Most of the rain to the west has been swallowed up around the Blue Mountains for the past few days.
By:
the market knows diddly if India are coming in!
By:
aus declared
By:
By:
Agree, if it was a bluff it was a very bizarre bluff! But I was happy to lay chunks out of India at those odds.
By:
lol@ second coming
By:
people saying Aus would bat on were out of their mind, only reason we batted on last game was to secure the series
completely different scenario here |
By:
Geoffrey Boycott was wrong once. he said it would rain and it didn't!
By:
Can India bat this out?
By:
boyks would love to work with joe burns
he have plenty of fun correcting his "technique" |
By:
even money for Australia to bowl these mugs out on an inconsistently bouncing spinning pitch?
GET ME THE WHEELBARROW, I AM GOING TO BE WINNING LARGE TODAY! |
By:
By:
Aus win the bet here at the prices. Has to be.
By:
confirmation you have no idea about the game
By:
ron, listen pal.. I understand you want to become well known around here but you keep messing with me and you will be seeing stars
