Next question which arises may be  "when will England declare ?" .  Fully expect Bell , Root and the next 2 batsmen to crack on this afternoon , when they get to 450 plus there will be calls for a declaration .  If they keep batting today they will possibly have blown an opportunity to give the Indians a torrid time for about 45 minutes .

So expecting hell for leather this afternoon , and a declaration around 5 o'clock , normal conditions and progress expected up to that .

Sky - funny piece on cricket in state or private schools. They are on a different planet. On my council estate we didn't get too much school cricket. Would have been beaten up for wearing white trousers anyway.

Cricket being essentially a summer game , school holidays account for 2 months of the 4 ( essentially) when cricket is a core sport in these isles .

Maybe there is a case for special school facilites when the official schools are closed for summer break .

Be amazing if Cook does anything other than a textbook declaration around drinks in the last session after tea. Dhoni could try the bounce for a while soon and hope England implode. Then again if he keeps the scoring tight he can guarantee a draw which he might be quite happy with.

England 25 runs in 45 minutes, very poor management this, should have been looking for a run a minute minimum, doesn't matter if they're 550-5 or 550 all out, no urgency.
