The spinners will have plenty of overs tomorrow. Enough runs to pack the infield and put batters under extreme pressure. I think it will be tough for SA to survive. Amla and AB key of course. I would save the DRS reviews for either of them and not the left hookers as the rough will through up enough grenades with their names on.
Happy to remain on SL for now and over night. I reduced red on draw when I had the chance so letting it all roll baby. 5.00am start again! for me that is. |

sun all day tomorrow too!!!

through! that's funny.
Mrs "Death getting on my nerves this morning sorting out her car insurance and parking permit. She would have made a good Memsahib during the Days of the Raj, barking out orders and belittling people! ![]() |

Has a team ever dead batted for both innings of a test match before?
By:
I think I will put a chunk more on sl for the two lefties at the crease. They were pretty lucky last night and every ball in the rough looks like a wicket
By:
My missus had 10 years in Asia to hone her barking orders at servants skills.
I've resisted the temptation to lump on SL even though over 2 is a big price IMO. Sticking with my policy of going into day 5 all green when I can. |
By:
If there is a side in test cricket that thrive on defending to save a test match it's South Africa. Only 2 outcomes possible but I think there will be a few twists and turns on final day

some forecasts for showers, some for sun!! could definitely be a topsy turvy day. Also I reckon SL will bowl well over 100 overs, weather permitting. They were bowling at 21 overs per hour. This is the sort of pitch where laws of averages (balls in the rough) may pay dividends!
By:
South Africa lose 1 wicket in 1st session , Draw should be 1/2 or lower IMO
By:
i'm going for both lefties gone in the first hour & then some calm & then some fun & games towards the end!
By:
weather looks set fair, according to Pommie and HD. HD Ackerman is talking about an SA win

I have made my bed so waiting patiently for the SL Grenadiers to explode on the Bokkies. Wait, wait and wait again.

bomaye! bomaye! bomaye!

ab & amla's wicket would take the draw into freefall!

Was just listening to the Worlds leading authority on cricket Harsha Bhogle who just as the second ball was about to be bowled said the ball is bouncing and spinning to much so bowled and lbw's are out of the equation!

there is absolutely no value in the draw. Need balls of steel to sit through a day of this. It's the sort of deck you could lose 4/5 very quickly
By:
92 overs can still be bowled. New ball after 58 more overs odd.
By:
I hope the rain spices up the wicket. This is going down to the wire I think
