Loved Prior's kick of the turf!
Imagine someone quick bowling at him like that! England have not learned much from their winter!. I still expect them to score 500 on this pitch but they could have made 6-700 if they didn't give their wickets away! That may have been enough for a win. SL have a victory chance still if they dismiss England for around 450. I still think the draw will go odds on and think if you haven't covered the draw there is still time to buy and lay it back. England to me are still a lay and buy back before the realisation of the draw looms. |

Jordans batting freely should get done soon
|
|
By:
ive gone in on the draw still 34 wickets left on a very good pitch and those draw odds will drop tomorow

Took my first lay of England @1.82 just to bank some.
I think England can fall lower still should they make 450 as people will assume the game is safe ( I don't ). Should they get 500 it will fall appreciably and I will get some more. If they get a couple of early wickets it will go sub 1.5 and if they get Mahela and Sanga then I shall be in trouble but if Lanka bat all day Saturday I join the ranks of Oligarchs and Dictators and move to West London !Bought some SL as cover in case England stuff this position up. Still think they make 500 here. |

need to get that ball up around his chin again

|
By:
he's a centurion at Lords - even though it was against PAK who were trying to lose the match
|
|
By:
I could bat on this all day against this peas shooter attack!
|
|
By:
wouldn't be ironic if england's batting became more aggressive now they've got rid of Pietersen.

By:
Fcek me, I lost bundles on when Broad made 169 at Lords. I learnt my lesson though.
Never gamble when the Paki's are involved! |

ALERT
They are talking about John Arlot at lunch on TMS Any of you youngsters not old enough to know who he was should listen. 3 line whip on that! |

for me this making draw more favourable as long as SL can bat through which on this turf should be able to
|

no draw hear

By:
KT,
Arlot is an amazing character. The best cricket commentator and raconteur I have heard. This before I even knew about his involvement in the D'Olliveira affair. If they want to teach Britishness in schools they should teach the kids about what he did! |
|
By:
There is still a lot of time left in this match. I also think SL will score quickly against attacking fields. If Eng persists with bowling width they will get twatted at Lords. Long time left so should Lanka score well and not lose wickets I will lay draw back at Odds on unless of course the pitch looks so flat Lanka will bat and bat
|

Will find some old commentary tomorrow. His conversation with Mike Brearly will be first cab off the rank
