Swann averages 52 in Australia. Last game here 26/40 wickets fell to bowlers going at 142+.
3 wickets taken by slow bowlers. The slower the bowler, the less effective. England should have gone Tremlett, Finn, Broad, Rankin. Left out Swann and Anderson. And they would have been a real show here. Aus could flatter Swann and get out cheaply at some point, but all expectations point to him being a wasted selection. |

Bowling a better line/length now. Don't think the pitch is helping bowlers at all here. Looks a great wicket to score plenty.
So much depends on Cook as captain. If he can come out and play aggressively and take the game on, that will have a huge impact on the result. Smith is a busy batsman who values his wicket and is busy. Haddin in great form, and much more mature to rely on somewhat. Runs in the tail. Be surprised with any less than 300 here. England, who knows. Haven't scored more than 375 on pitches made for them, so hard to see them getting too many on here on what looks to be a super fast pitch, yet again. |

As excited as England are getting though with this short pitched stuff, they must be sihtting fcuking bricks at the thought of batting against it.
Plenty of bruises to come in this match. Mental strength wins from here. In which case is a toss up from 2 teams that really cannot be counted on. |
