8 wickets on this pitch last game and can't get a go.  Thought he was a certainty to play tbh, and think he should have been.

it's a pathetic cowardly selection. why bother even having selectors.

Complete shambles. Anderson and Swan have been complete rubbish all series. They took three giants and don't play one of them at the home of bounce and pace. Anderson will be lobbing lolly pops at 83mph again and Swan will get no turn. Australia 450 and Endland lucky if they make the Aussies bat twice. Top speed for England will be between Bresnan and the new lad and it will be lucky to hit 90. Johnson will be a good 5mph quicker.

They have handed over the ashes without a whimper never mind a fight.

Averaging 27, coming off 4/120 in Brisbane, ready to go, pitch suits.  Sets a nasty negative tone (continues it) for England, and I see it is a big statement as to how this game goes.

They didn't want to take any risks, it could cost them the ashes

Australia must start well, first session is vital

lets face it , i dont care what cook is saying about fighting back , england are gonna get punished again here at the waca , maybe even an innings defeat , gulf in class between the 2 teams in these conditions , i put my money where my mouth is this time

Controlling the run rate and building pressure with Swann has not worked.

Australia are onto that one and are shutting it down pronto. That celebration of the gallon in Brisbane really irritated me.

But most of all the Bresnan selection irritates me.

Dry pitches, limited bounce, reverse swing, yep right bowler.

But ffs take a chance here with one of your big boys. Particularly Finn. Tremlett looked like he'd been England'd - slowed down to become more consistent and therefore less threatening. I dread that the same may be happening to Finn.

This facking economy before average mantra cannot be applied to every member of the team.

evening gents. england got to be a huge lay at 3.65.

not that they can't win, but really - do they win this game 3 times out of ten? I am far from convinced.

i expect some sort of fightback , but it's likely to end up in vain , australia can regain the ashes here and they aint gonna take their foot of the throat of the poms
