Prove what you said is true...

It's what happens when one team is in the ascendency. If you watch some of the footage of old Ashes tests between 89-2003 there were some proper howlers. I do not have them all written down though I've watched every Ashes test between Eng & Oz going back to the 70s & know what I've seen over the years.

My point is that initially the review system seemed to work really well but now we are getting more and more wrong decisions both ways even with all of the technology available. Hotspot which is pretty reliable was turned off for a previous decision and now the umps seem to have lost faith in it. Snicko seems really accurate but they don't use it, audio can be misleading but they use it? It might be time to scrap the lot and revert back to the on-field umpire.

This is the start of the 3rd test.  So far in this series, there has been more wrong decisions than I have EVER seen.

I think that there was a faint mark on hotspot, but more to the point, there were two clear noises. Shane Warne is deaf, as is Botham.

I think that the 3rd Ump arrived at the correct decision.

Clearly umpires don't understand what they are doing.  Noise was clearly bat hitting pad long before ball passed by (an inch away from the bat).   Can understand being given out in realtime by umpire hearing noise but third umpire is clueless.   DRS was brought in exactly for these situations but needs third umpire to understand how all the different angles and noise comes together.   I am big England fan but this makes the sport just look stupid and gives ammunition to all the luddites who don't want progress and innovation to make the game fairer.   Very sad to see the system undermined like this....

It was undermined because the TV audio was misleading, and they dont use a proper audio sensor (snicko)...even the inventor of hotspot agrees that snicko should be included.

The umpires also clearly need better training to use the technology.

who ever said this got it spot on.

Snicko - Negative Hotspot - Negative. Visual - Negative Payment to 3rd Umpire - Positive

Without thinking about where anybody is from, or who anybody is going for.  Do you all seriously think, that is good for the game of cricket?
Who seriously thinks that firstly should have been given out, and secondly, shouldn't have been overturned?

Do any of us seriously give a ****?  Draw?  Results like that mean that no umpire in the game is backing a draw.  There in lies your answer....

Laura Marsh would get a few of these Aussie left-handers out with her off-breaks. Probably be more dangerous than Agar or Lyon.

I don't see a draw - I see a hat-ful for Swann. I think the Aus spinners will get a few as well - already look's to be turning big.

A bad one?  Seriously?  There is no argument in the world to show any reason ever how that decision was even made.  There is 1 person in the world that reviewed that and gave it out.

Tell me I am wrong..

Dont get it viva how this is a better system. More wrong decisions ever than i have seen in a high profile series. If all you need is to disprove the on field umpire then you rather not have the DRS and trust the umpire. You still would have got the same decisions. Why spend that money on that stupid piece of equipment when you can hire some better umpires for that. Only one to benefit from this non sense is Swann who now gets more wickets than ever before because umpires give those marginal LBWs easily out because of the DRS hawk eye.

if given out caught, they should have drs overturned only if ball is over 10cm away from the bat. if given out lbw, it should only be overturned if it's over 10cm away from hitting the wicket.

there, that should improve the stats that the on field umpires gets most of the decisions correct

100% guarantee it.

To what extent, not sure.

Personally though, I am going to try and get a green up and fcuk off.  Cricket can kiss my ass.  Bet like a machine and constantly be shat on?  Fcuk that, plenty of other options to bet on.

Aus will come back here, draw will come back into 2.70, and then eat my ass everybody.

Cricket has lost a fan.  Betfair has lost a cricket bettor.  Some you can take, but 3 test matches in a row?  Get fcuked.....
