I remember what happened at Headingley last month: it brightened up @ 4pm but the match had been called off by then. I know because I was there unfortunately!

other images show a big bank of rain coming behind it too, radar doesnt extend out into the sea very far, and so makes it look as if the rain will stop, when it won't.

the bank of rain out at sea isn't heading for the uk.  the rain will be gone by 1230.

the main advantage anybody backing no has is that no overs have been lost yet so the idiots will play far too many overs when they get going.

an incomplete match effectively means england are out as the game tomorrow will be completed and won by sri lanka.

This will get interesting.  Basically if there is a small break in drizzle and they start we complete.  If not, radar looks full until past 3pm.

By looking at the 'Rain Today' website, and measuring how much the backend moved between 10 and 11 and assuming it will continue at the same speed I estimate it will leave Cardiff at around 5pm so too late to start a 20-20 match

that's enough of a move on the CMM for now.  Looks like a clear space on radar after 2:30pm

The more overs that are lost the better chance the Kiwis batting second must have, would that be a fair assumption.?
