Be interesting to see how a 300 chase would be priced here. India needs one of these 2 (ideally both) to go big here. Nothing worse than making a start and then getting out without cashing in.

mmmm, just joined this........usual scenario I think with India playing.....need to juggle (a) actual state of play and (b) mad money for India.

Totally OTB - perfect start from India, but having backed at 1.89, it's now at 1.53, so I'm now out. I think the bottom can only be around 1.4. If India hit, say 320, I think the price would still be around that, due to the frailties in their bowling, so this is effectively a free run at that kind of score and derisks in the event of a collapse.

the bowling is not fragile did u not see or hear about them hammering aus a few days ago. ashwin and jadeja r top class spinners. kumar is excellent, sharma is a bit inconsistent but ok. the only one that has question marks is yadav and he helped skittle the aussies.

Butch I don't see India's bowling as that frail. I see it as more than competant and balanced. They are good enough to defend a big total. Probably almost as good as any other attack in the competition but obviously not better.

OK, OK, maybe the wrong word. I just don't see them as good as, say, a full strength SA attack. My point was, I didn't really see the market going much lower than 1.4 before regardless of the score, so I was playing it defensively. Maybe i was a little premature in getting out, but I still see this as 1.4 at the break.

That pitch map tellms someone hasn't been doing their homework. If they feel Rohit is vunerable against the short ball they should have checked the pitch which is looking PDFG. If you bowl it just over halfway down the wicket he will have fun.
All foreign batsmen are exposed against full length balls early in the innings and I thin Boks have missed a trick even with the kookaburra. |

@WhisperingDeath, you are correct in that they are good enough to defend a big total. The problem comes when defending 260 or under. That's when they are poor. Arguably the worst bowling attack in the tournament - between them and NZ. Thankfully the batting makes up for it.

admittedly, bhavenshwar and yadav with the new ball are much better than mugs we've had previously - sreesanth, nehra, praveen kumar, vinay kumar etc! Ishant Sharma still useless though.

Even listening on the radio you can tell the crowd are all on the higher innings runs totals judging by their groans when a wicket falls
