I meant Root and Bairstow Rob.
Apologies for not making that clearer. |

Surprisingly after the day 1 yawn this match is turning into a contest. After last night's changes in the draw could gratefully green out for a small return but am expecting a lot more volatility tonight. So grit the teeth and look for bigger profits. Still two days to go so all results possible.

just lay the english mugs
By:
Have you been laying the English mugs all along Morse?
By:
i have been laying the english mugs all week son . i am coining it in
they are sh1t should be 1000 here |
By:
only mugs are backing the mug english here fact
By:
The wicket's still pretty good. England will trade a lot shorter if they apply themselves and manage to skittle the Kiwis for under a 400 lead dont you think?
By:
mug english won't bowl kiwi's out , they have done nothing but embarrass themselves on this tour . i expect the same .
their only hope of winning is an early kiwi declaration which won't happen as they have been playing for a draw the whole series . england won't win . it's impossible . accept it . |
By:
I've laid the Kiwis for now. Wickets and time taken out of the game should make them drift bringing either the England or draw price in. Pretty safe laying NZ until England start losing wickets. They wont go a great deal shorter.
By:
u may as well have backed the draw son , england cannot win .
they will be playing for a draw after new zealand declare |
By:
There will be a some mad swings in odds tonight - could be a big rollercoaster ride of "it going to be a draw" for a few hours to sudden everything changes - not for the faint hearted IMO
By:
thank you MM for yet again ruining a perfectly good thread with your idiotic attention seeking comments
By:
d13mug son u know england cannot win . accept it .
i am the one talking the most sense here . forget guessing if new zealand are going to win or it's going to be a draw , just lay england . u know they will lose . if ur not laying england ur just guessing . |
By:
if i know england will lose i would back NZ

only 2 outcomes possible here
new zealand win or draw |

By:
laying a 10/1 shot
and i see your other big lay (Tiger Woods) is going well. why dont you just get a hobbie and stop bothering us with your ADHD views. |
By:
stop seething and just lay these english mugs . they are useless
thank me tomorrow son . u know i will be 100 % correct . i am the greatest remember that |
By:
I am backing the draw. I think it will trade much lower during morning and 2nd session
By:
England 10/1 is value imo.
By:
Intriguing situation and I agree volatility can be expecteed. NZ were very defensive at the end of y'day session as they wanted to preserve ickets. Expect them to start off defensive again at the start of this session but attempt to accelerate if they get through the first hour unscathed. Early NZ wickets and they will go defensive and put the shutters down. England have a sniff if they can get the remaining 7 wickets for sub-100 runs though 10/11 does look a little small but not small enough for me to be laying. With six sessions to go draw does look a long way off and price could drift esp. with the fall of wickets.
By:
how could anyone think mug england at 10/1 is value . they should be 1000 . THEY CANNOT WIN .
even if ( BIG IF ) they can bowl new zealand out they will be chasing 400 on a day 5 pitch . they won't go for that . simple as |

on the assumption that NZ do not come out all guns blazing this morning... what do we think the lowest NZ price could be before England bat?
By:
1.6 is already quite low ... can't see it going much lower before England bat ... the price more likely to drop sharply is Eng price if early wickets fall ...
By:
dr is seething pmsl
By:
that is my thinking raja - can't see too much contraction in the NZ price unless McCullum starts teeing off big time
By:
Dr not happy!
I see an early fall in draw price - you know how these markets are - to 2.7 - 2.9 range. After that I have no idea whatsoever and I might trade out. |
By:
ecdub2 ... problem is market is not rational in the short term ... too many people trying to predict the future outcome based on short term events ...
By:
yes agree market totally over-reacts even to say a couple of overs of dot balls
By:
This is one of those situations in test cricket where Kiwi wickets actually improve their chances of a win ,but simultaneously reduces their chance of a draw ...
I also agree with the general sentiment that McCullum would settle for a drawn series and ,therefore ,if given the chance he would compromise the chance of the win if he could bat england out the game, if in that luxurious position . Either way I expect one of Trott and/or Cook to bat long and perhaps save this match, or at least make the draw/kiwi win price doggy flop by the close . |
By:
england admit to playing for a draw
By:
Both Eng and NZ would be happy with a draw .... doubt NZ are going to push things at this stage ...
By:
Morse ... what went wrong with your 5 star recommendation to lay India? They ended up winning with two days to spare !!!
