d1phe, yep they have a shocking record for stringing back to back wins together over the last few years even against moderate opposition at home. that's why they've drawn so many series they really should have won

Toss won by Eng...put saffers in to bat and no Swann...lots of risks there!  Strauss said he looked at the pitch and the weather forecast!!  It would be nice to have the Swann option just in case.  Last night at Trent Brige it looked a seamers wicket and Surrey bowled 30 overs of spin!!!  Hope Eng are right

tough to back either team looking at that forecast, I can also see this wicket playing low and slow

have a feeling finn will rip through them today

this pitch always does something early doors

will be an interesting first session.

sounds like the weather would make batting more suitable but the pitch may give a bit for the bowlers.

England need to make decent in roads today, Strauss won't look too smart if SA cruise through the day then clear England up in gloomy weekend weather.

do we think it was Strauss's decision

this smacks of Flower imo

can you imagine the Aussies ever leaving Warne out after one bad test.

could be another long day in the field

i mean bowling to Smith with 2 slips and a gully and bowling on his legs

which mastermind thought of that
By:
DirkDiggler
When: 02 Aug 12 11:31
they don't know how to bowl to smith
By:

By:

When: 02 Aug 12 11:33
they should just jeep dangling the carrot outside off like they did to Katich

players like Katich and smith just want you to bowl straight

they very rarely miss them on these wickets
