nah , book , we still might get 250 overs best case scenario , too many variables with english weather !!
i certainly wouldn't want to lump and leave the draw at this price ....an improved forecast combined with windies batting first would see some volatility in the market |

Saturday, Sunday and Monday are looking pretty clear.
we could still get 300 overs in after today and the windies are 2-0 down and many of the players are already on the flight home waiting to be replaced by the big guns im not a layer until i know when they are starting but i definitely wouldnt be a backer |

friday rain, sat clear, sunday rain, mon heavy rain, that doesnt look clear to me.
By:
make that friday no play
By:
Sunday looks fine, think your looking at the wrong forecast
By:
made a little clanger last night... layed @ 1.3 quite heavy... last a chunk of my green...

If today is washed out what will England be at toss 10.30am tomorrow? 10? That would be value with Saturday & Sunday both dry & showers only on Monday IMO.
By:
looks ok on SSN... dont look like its raining
By:
might not be. loadsa rain on the way though
By:
yes loads on way unfortunately another day without any possible play

I love the blind enthusiasm of a cricket supporter.
Steady supply of punters walking to ground with umbrellas etc who all know play is unlikely but like flies to a light are attracted anyway. FWIW its raining again ,very windy and am fed up.Have tickets for me and a mate-luckily enough we can stay at home until prospects get better, but I dont expect they will today. |

A Sky Sports TV director with a bit of mischief about him should show a library shot of a clearing sky at 10:30 , just for a lark .
By:
would of thought min 2 hours to get ground right if rain stops just been so much rain in last 48 hours
By:
so what price draw after today? 1.15ish
By:
be around that maybe if no play
By:
yeah 1.16 or lower if today is washed out i reckon.
By:
My forecasts were pretty good. That gives me confidence for future tests. I reckon there's a small window this evening - maybe 10 overs but they'll probably call off before then. Tomorrow good barring post 5pm. Same Sunday, Monday looking better now though so could still be 250 overs in the game. Will probably lay heavily around 1.15 ready for a bit of fun later on today.

By:
could get 1.1ish i reckon.. that outfield looks waterlogged...
By:
![]() Can't see a ball being bowled today. Got to be questions about starting on time tomorrow with the state of the outfield. |
By:
also the bowlers run ups will be in terrible shape
By:
and not worth risking in a dead test match

and not worth risking in a dead test match

By:
i can see this being called off without a ball bowled... layers will be saved big time..
By:
really????
By:
i will lay you some 100/1 for no ball bowled this test max if you wanna lay off..

No chance, tomorrow looks fine
By:
Might even get minimal play today - remember we can go until 7:30pm
By:
Will get some play over the weekend. An early clatter of wickets would liven things up.
By:
I reckon we might get 30 overs today. Watch the draw collapse if either team is 80/5
By:
Problem is, its going to take at least a couple of hours from when it stops, which doesn't look like anytime soon.
It will more than likely be abandoned long before 7.30. |
By:
![]() did you see that outfield nige? they wont have players falling all over the place.. |
By:
agreed, very unlikely for play today hence my plan to lay off later on when the market moves in further. Outfield can be sorted with that machine - brilliant bit of kit
By:
they've got as much chance playing today as spurs have of winning the champions league next year
By:
No way it will be abandoned
By:
happy to back the draw should eng be 80/5. only 1 winner this test and it aint gonna be windies.
By:
Gone in on the draw, with a view to trade off when it inevitably shortens later.
