....and the dropped Van Jaarsveld catches can be used as defence that Kent weren't in on the fix.

I don't think many are calling at it a totally fixed match, just saying that a couple of players on the Sussex side had been bought and the market made much more sense once you had factored that in.

Two run outs and one stumps. Is it normal???

It is here at the forum who idetify any abnormalities.

Even a forumite gave out the script and the events unfolded exactly as shouted.

A tip is considered valid if odds flip from 1.20 of a team to another team. Winning/losing of team becomes inconsequential

as you have already profited by the flipsSad

Vincent has history and he middled a defensive push to short extra cover and then went racing half way down the wicket before turning. Plain

Looked like Vincent was trying to run the guy at the other end out but he was having none of it.

I had already told you about all these fixings in County Cricket 2-3 months back instead i gave the full details about fixing & if it is false than why betfair removed my post from the topic "LEARN IT"If this was wrong so why my post was removed ?? Betfair doesn't wants anyone to aware you all English guys about the Fixing because betfair don't want that English people who trades on betfair or on local bookies lose trust on county cricket or say on them & if it happens than their business will be finished. I hope now you will be understand that every match is already fix and they have a script and yeah i know some matches should be fair and clear but listen 90% matches is always fix they bookies are not idiot who give you a just two way markets and you have 50% chance for a win ohhh C'MON guys well no more debut Good Luck.

Saw the First half of the game and just couldnt maake sense of the odds. Kent would go donw 20 ticks after 2 singles and after a temporary blip after a wicket the odds will rush back to Sub 1.8.

Didt watch the second half as it was very late and I had an early start but I hear it was even more ridiculous. Saw the scorecard in the morning and my fears were confirmed and thn chatted with some mates

Honestly it cant be more blatant than that, both odds and the players, probably make sense as Lou Vincent and Murray Goodwin are fininshed players and have little to lose, Vincent was in the Indian Circus League.

Hopefully this game is interogated, it is a cancer that will spread f not stopped.

We all know when prices are wrong as we the Betfair players generally make the markets. When it is so blatant it does not take long to smell a rat, especially over such a long period of time. IMO there were a lot more Sussex players involved than one or two. The young ginger haired Kent spinner probably had his finest hour, wonder if he has realised yet. Reckon he will go for a few more next match!!!

I have seen strange market and it iss generally market love, it corrects itself in a while when panic sets on. Bangladesh had market love in a couple of the games against Zim but when Zim were well ahead the market corrected. It never happened here, add to that the people who are known fixers get out in suspicious ways.

The biggest reasons for this are that these games are being televised in India and these guys are not expensive to buy. 250  Quid for the man of the match. These plaayers are at the end of their careers and are critical to their teams chances.

clearly 2 or 3 Sussex players were on the take last night.

Rohit- You understand now that I dont have any IPL vendetta?  There is no 'jelousy' as you put it. Laugh

I'm simply a punter on the lookout for dodgy stuff. Its my job.

Will have a pop at anything that looks dodgy and the prices and crucially volumes on the markets look funny.

Sure Lix - Point taken.

Let me add if I see something like what I saw last night in the IPL I will agree on the fix. 100%

Didnt follow odds in the first 3 seasons and this season saw nothing like this in both odds and behaviour.

Fantastic job by Dodge hitting 22 off his last 8 balls to make his SR look respectable.

Had pretty massive doubts about this game too. Huge amounts appearing laying Pune just before they lost wickets and when does Yuvi ever score 34 from 42 balls and bat like is drunk. Didn't even attempt to go for a big shot until the game was lost.

Nugget - How were the odds.

I remember one game that looked strange. I think MI were playing, but was it in conjuntions with strange odds movement.

Will keep my eyes open and be more vigilant from now on. I wonder how the odds were in the ICL. Actually will make a thread on that

Mumbai Kings XI near the end looked odd. If Kings XI lost the final 4 would have been decided with almost 2 weeks of the comp remaining. Plain Mumbai were a terrible chasing team but the market loved them all tourney till that game.

rohit- ICL was hilariously bait (as we say in London Happy )

The markets didnt get that much volume/liquidity but all of a sudden you'd see a lump appearing trying to lay the batting side when a certain batsman arrived at the crease. I'm talking stupid lumps-all in one go, at the same price!  like £150k-£200k lumps laying at 10-15 ticks above the 'true' market rate.

was no surprise when the batsman gets a 5 off 16 balls or something

We cannot do anything about the "repair job". What we can do is to identify the abnormality with a view to save ourselves

from loss rather benefit from the situation. Cancer is of aggressive category and widespread. PC payers shall lose their

effectiveness quickly if do not develop strategy to detect and take defensive measures.

I remember MI doing it while chasing. Tendy was party to it. Go to the thread it shall be interesting reading. Boh had

detected fishy play and put his money on other team. I remember time of the post was 1632 hours.

this is very intersting, i would have thought the market movements on here very indicative of a fix, given there is an intelligence report, too. surprised now that nothing has been done, indeed that everything been exonerated, smacks of a whitewash.
By:

Not at all surprised, HV. Ninety-nine per cent of the population simply would not understand the market moves outlined on this thread, or their significance, however slowly and carefully you explained them.

I'd expect that figure to rise to 100% among those employed by the various ECB and ICC anti-corruption units. After all, surely nobody who has ventured into the murky world of ball-by-ball betting on here would ever be the sort of respectable character with friends in the right places to give them jobs in cricket administration.
By:
Injera
When: 17 Nov 12 12:35
From the Sussex statement, it says some players 'were approached'.

Do they mean by shady characters or the anti corruption unit asking them if they were on the fiddle.

I would love to see the official report into this to see if betting patterns were studied.

Without reading thru, was this the one where Goodwin was skipper and he had Nash down at 8 when they needed 12 an over?

Parnell went in at about 6 and blocked it. Nash came in eventually and you could lip read his first words 'WTF are you doing?'

Nash then hit about 20 off one over.

No. That was the one at Whitgift School vs Surrey.

The market "knew" that one too, just not as blatantly.

It also "knew" Sussex would lose to Middx at Hove in a televised CB40 the previous year.
By:
screaming from beneaththewaves
When: 17 Nov 12 13:30
I stand to be corrected, but I believe Sussex lost every single televised game they played in 2010 and 2011.

Perhaps this Kent game was so blatant that the authorities had to have a quiet word about not being so obvious, which would explain Sussex's televised improvement this year.

BF need to investigate the accounts of anyone who won huge on this.. A £100k+ winner would
be very suspicious esp if that account wasnt used to winning such amounts.

Guess a few  indian bookies accounts must be +/- that amount in many games tho.
