Boris could simply say that Dominic hadn't told him the complete story and now that new information has come to light, his position was untenable.

Amazing really, people haven’t the sense to know when/how it’s safe to meet-up with their relatives, need the Government to spell out every detail for them, yet they are allowed to buy power tools and drive a car.

potlis, If I stay in Chepstow, is it ok to go and meet up with my parents in Bath?

My post on that thread, not addressed to you, and you trolling me, along with your lying for point scoring, you weren’t in Chepstow and your parents weren’t in Bath.

Your post says it all. I was posting a hypothetical situation. Your reply (amongst other ones) was abusive.

Sir Robert Syms MP
@RobertSyms

The Govt have to explain Test Track and Trace and the next phase of lifting lockdown next week. Whatever the merits of a Govt Advisor they should never be the story or it detracts from central message which is to get us out of this crisis. The advisor should go.

Another one joins the chorus .......

Seems there are a few who need the Government to tie their shoelaces and hold their hand while they cross the road.

There was no gain to be had from a simple Yes, we would all of missed the opportunity of watching you make a fool of yourself.

Now, will you be visiting your parent in Bath?

This is your normal abusive stuff from that thread potlis.

Lying seems habitual to you, I asked at the time if it was just a point scoring question, you claimed it wasn’t, happy to give the impression that was the situation.

So who’s the troll?

If you consider that abuse you must live a very sheltered existence, and really shouldn’t be on a forum, ask the moderators to remove them, happy to let them judge, you’re far to precious/ sensitive, suggest you move over to mumsnet.

Robert Peston
@Peston

There is a last play to keep Cummings in post in face of pressure from Tory MPs for him to go, but Cummings confident he did nothing wrong - which is to ask Cabinet Secretary to investigate, as requested by Labour. My bet is that’s what will happen. With everything else going on, Cabinet Sec Sedwill would love that, I am sure
