Do you know what the four point plan was? If so tell us what Contain meant.

Of course I know.

I am interested in your points. It all seems to be about doing things earlier.

You are happy with the contact tracing used early on and happy with the level of testing?

Yes Contain is/was about doing things earlier. I'm on about doing obvious things earlier (as I gave above) which the government didn't do which they should have.

As for: You are happy with the contact tracing used early on and happy with the level of testing? As far as I can gather there was no contact tracing early on and no testing.

I am not arguing. I just thought it odd you said we had no contact testing early on and no test. When I questioned this you have decided to talking about how I quote posts instead of talking about contact tracing. Bizairre.

Grant as you asked i will answer what my concern is with the UK.

I have stated already and don't wish to go on anymore but your question implies, so his here is the answer.

Yes i am living in Ireland, but my wife is teaching the children of key workers, my niece is working around the clock in a UK hospital as is her dad and my sister is in a war room, leading proceedings.

They are all being paid by the UK,WORKING FOR THE UK and putting their lives at risk daily 24/7 almost.

My English son also working in the UK, so i am greatly concerned..I hope that answers your question, sitting up there in Aberdonia.

Time will show the full extent  of this virus and where any mistakes were made there are strong suspicion on both sides about the amount of cases we have only time will tell.
We have to remember we live in a celebrity sensationalist era where if something is an inch it becomes a mile.

you've to laugh at the right wing  nut jobs thinking calling a PM by his christain name is been respectful , if you tried it with teachers, inside prison, police, certain workplaces you,d be getting a variety of punishments, DORIS will do just fine or mr Johnson, like mr/david Cameron,mr/tony blair,mrs/thresa may, etc, why one pm in history is known as DORIS I don't no,
it sits well though,he does look/sound like a DORIS LaughLaugh

84% of care homes are private, they make an absolute fortune.
They should be able to provide their own PPE at their own cost
I don't understand the correlation between the Tories and care homes?
It's societies greed over many years that has facilitated the need for so many care homes in the first place. It's absolutely nothing to do with the Tories
People are that obsessed with material items that they can't be bothered to look after their parents in their latter years.
I would hardly class that as being caring.
My main point was actually about forum members who hate old people and now are suddenly showing fake empathy.
Not sure why you mentioned my Dad, he died on a beach drinking margaritas!

It was only Thursday they said they were going to help care homes Juice, too late.It was always going to be a problem, they should have had help sooner.
Some care homes only stopped visiting when the lockdown came, most took measures beforehand.

I accept the private part but the numbers are now looking shocking, they are British citizens,no fake empathy, it is an awful way to go.

I remember doing accounts for private care homes and the sort of people who owned them
Avarice prìcks who couldn't give a fcuk about the residents
One guy had about 5 and he cleared well over 1 million net profit ever year
His expenditure on resident's entertainment over the 5 homes was less than 100 quid!
That was for a few board games

They are trying to deflect to the govt as they are scared of monstrous lawsuits they could end up paying out
They are culpable 100% and they know it

Make no bones about it, this is a soft version of herd immunity
I think it's the correct thing to do
Originally they said 80% of the population are going to have to get it
so it might as well be sooner rather than later & we can see from the last month that the NHS hasn't been overrun.
Apart from a few PPE issues I'm sure they are secretly very pleased with how things are going

The nasties have cut spending on adult social care since being in power since 2010. Anyone who could introduce a dementia tax is clearly misguided and heartless.

The nasties do allow care homes to make an absolute and disgusting fortune. Why don't they do something about it?

Which forum members are now showing fake empathy for old people? I must admit that wasn't how I interpreted your post though. Many, many people are showing genuine empathy for those in care homes and their families. I mentioned your father because you were, as you should be, upset by his death. Many people are upset by people dying in care homes.

I agree private care homes should have bought PPE but the problem may have been there was none to buy thanks to the nasties.
