Thank you for that, edy.
My only experience of West German healthcare came in 1982. The headmaster of the school in which I was teaching virtually gave himself a heart attack when he realized he'd been employing me for several months without my having been tested for TB. Being British, I just flippantly asked him whether he thought I looked like someone with tuberculosis, at which point he went into meltdown. I had to go home immediately and make an appointment to get tested and receive the necessary certificates. Very interesting point about the lack of post-mortem procedures in Germany. I wondered this when Andrew Neil said he'd looked at it and concluded Germany's criteria for whether a death should be counted as one due to the Chinese virus were the same as everyone else's. the criteria might be the same, but the investigations for determining whether a case fits the criteria evidently are not. Thanks again. |

I read they'd linked the disease to the rare endangered and quite lovely Pangolin.
That of course the chinese eat anyway as a "delicacy" (what don't they eat?) and also use the scales of it for their ridiculous "chinese medicine" that is less scientific than a medieval nutcase leeching you to make the bad humours go away, and seems to be a great way of making lots of species go extinct. Be nice if the people caught doing such things were sent to camps, eh china? |
|
By:
"Pangolins are in high demand for Chinese traditional medicine in southern China and Vietnam because their scales are believed to have medicinal properties. Their meat is also considered a delicacy.[39][40][41][42] 100,000 are estimated to be trafficked a year to China and Vietnam,[43] amounting
to over one million over the past decade.[44][45] This makes it the most trafficked animal in the world." Yet ... strangely .. "All pangolin species are currently listed under Appendix I of CITES which prohibits international trade, except when the product is intended for non-commercial purposes and a permit has been granted" ... "Pangolins are threatened by poaching (for their meat and scales, which are used in Chinese traditional medicine for a variety of ailments including excessive anxiety and hysterical crying in children, women thought to be possessed by devils and ogres, malarial fever, and deafness[4])" Yet these people are apparently capable of making mobile phones?? FFS... |

Bird nest soup, shark fin soup, chicken feet, pig and cow's brain (supposedly enhances intelligence), rhino horn (Chinese viagra) and many more. All nothing but (unproven) belief of their health qualities and usefulness; goji berries is good though.
I think it must be related to the starvation and famine experienced over many decades during the days of communism and suppression. They are locally obtainable, in abundance and cheap; their nutritional qualities merely to make it more palatable. |

Yet these people are apparently capable of making mobile phones?? FFS...
I think it's more a case of assembling mobile phones rather than making them. Aren't the processors all designed in Cambridgeshire? And China has no semi-conductor industry to speak of, so all the silicon chips are imported. I read somewhere that 83% of all transistors used in Chinese manufacturing are imported. Presumably the 17% they make themselves are the ones used in the virus testing kits which give 80% false positives. |

One buys Chinese products at one's peril eg dodgy DVD, dodgy imitation spare parts including aviation, fake ciggies, etc ie cheap, but terribly unreliable. Oops! I possess a Huawei.
But, their number 1 selling point is cheap, excessive and hardworking labour force. They do not manufacture (yet) automobiles, heavy machine, white goods, computers, etc, but assemble most of them. But, they own a huge chunk of Africa though. |

I do not buy stuff from China (or associate of China) on 'ebay' or Amazon in the UK. I think the rest of the world will do well to recognise their ever growing supremacy economically, and erosion of democracy within. And, their subtle buying up of chunks of commodities in Africa is to ensure economic supremacy can be maintained; Africa is too poor, corrupt and needy to refuse.
I believe China with their world economic power will totally dominate once they possess the abilities and intellectual properties of USA, Japan, S Korea, Germany, France and UK. |

I think a trade boycott is one of the most powerful things we can do and one of the languages these people understand.
I personally do not buy anything knowingly from Israel, certainly fruit. I think you boys should spread your call to stop buying Chinese products where possible. |

China has approved the use of bear bile to treat critically ill coronavirus patients.
The National Health Commission has recommended the use of Tan Re Qing - an injection that contains bear bile, goat horn and herbs - to treat patients with Covid-19. But there is no evidence the mixture has any medicinal value. Bear bile, which is produced in the liver and stored in the gall bladder, has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for hundreds of years and fetches a high price in the illegal international market. From the BBC news site. So we can look forward to thousands more bears caged for life in China (thousands already are). |

Yes the bear bile thing is shocking. If you hate it there is a charity called Animals Asia that tries to stop that.
Oh and the dog eating festival was not long ago, where they boil dogs alive, and pet dogs are stolen in large numbers for food. More I think about it ... there are an awful LOT of things to be said about China. Still it's a Communist Utopia.. |
