At the end of the day there should ultimately be a global agreement to flatten China regardless of anything else.

So it seems to me we’re best off carrying on as normal in general. With extra precaution being taken in hospitals, oap homes, doctors surgeries and the like, and social distancing once we have symptoms. ‘Shutting society down’ completely will create more victims than the virus itself.

Before the Coronavirus takes us all (if you believe the hype) could you try to find the apostrophe key (') rather than constantly using the comma key (,) please?

Thanks in advance Cool

france, spain, now joining Italy going all in, so even if our science is right and it comes back in these countries in a big way, what ever we do it,ll come back here anyway, its 27 miles away

I doubt anyone can do anything about this 1sttp,all you want for them is to try.I think Ireland and most countries have said feck the financial consequenses and doing their best but a pre meditated herd immunity theory and just leave it ravish through seems so wrong,i am not an expert as said, going by gut,Prof John Ashton ch4 +1  at 19.40 seemed to nail it for me,everyone else seems scared to speak up.

In those countries, the likelihood is that cases will continue to be confirmed, and the death toll will continue to rise after moving to lockdown. So when do they make the call to end the lockdown? What's the medical and political jeopardy of ending the lockdown ans people subsequently getting killed.  That's the problem, once the card is played, there's no going back. We can't compare the free world to communist states.

yes I saw that
but for our experts even if their right it means mainland eurpe 27 mile away is catastrophically wrong and we,ll kill lots of people for no reason, because we,ll just have to hunker down from people 30 miles away preying it doesn't come back

A coronavirus vaccine could soon be tested on humans in the UK following “encouraging” research on mice.

Scientists from Imperial College London said that clinical trials could take place in a few months’ time if they receive funding, after trials on mice gave promising results.

“Currently we have a prototype vaccine in animal models where the early results are encouraging,” Dr Robin Shattock, head of mucosal infection and immunity at the university’s Department of Infectious Disease, told The Independent. “We are hoping to progress to clinical testing by the summer depending on obtaining sufficient funds for the next stage.”

Cider, in theory after lockdown cases should paek in 14 days after as no one else ought to be getting infected except "lockdown clusters" ie families, would that be generally correct?

taiwan, singapore and hong kong are all close to the epicentre and all with a completely different approach to the uk yet managing to stop it spreading.

south korea was badly affected due to religious fruit cakes but got on top of it with testing, isolation and contact tracing. it has reappeared with a big cluster at a call centre but it appears they are gaining control again.

the chinese have got control.

the claim that you cannot control it is plainly false.

I'm sure they'll save us all and there will be a vaccine for us to take, with the chip and pin number inserted into our hands
