The flag think is maybe indicative of an aspect in modern society, a huge desire to constantly signal your "thing" to people?
I'd feel very selfish even holding a flag up that was blocking others view for a couple minutes.
I've been to a number of festivals and it never happened when I was going? It just seems very selfish.

Hi anxious, hope you are well mate. Don't stop believing, strong political beliefs help us all get through this fcked up world, I despair at the wealth gap that has become a chasm since the 70s, but I can't embrace the total opposite Corbyn fairyland outdated view either. Somewhere in between would be interesting.

Anyway, it's great we can have opposing views and not resort to cheap name calling, good luck

the view is the least important thing anyway, you can barely see the people up on stage, and wouldn't it be more boring with no flags??

TBF fair I suppose a good number of the flags are on very tall flagpoles which will help but certainly not all are. The cameras are moving around but if you were stuck behind one of the lower ones .. I suppose they have TV screens but ..

Yes betting it was a very good set, the smiths song in particular was unexpected and suited their style.

“I'm all alone,
fuming at myself,
waving a great flag
of failure.”

Says it all about flags for me.

I don`t stagger in from the pub, I can hold my drink, unlike you and your sugar alley water. Laugh Only stating what everybody else is thinking. You are a boring moaning ****. Chill out and enjoy the show instead of going on about young people waving ******* flags and enjoying themselves.

The Killers doing a great job.

That’s very good to hear, Boxing.

I only recorded this for The Killers. But after reading this thread I’m really looking forward to watching it all, this afternoon.

I love Kylie but I’m not really a fan of her music but I’m sure she will be brilliant later Happy

I love Glastonbury but haven’t got round to watching any of it yet Blush

Hope everyone is well Love

The Killers did exactly what they were meant to and blew the place apart.

No political messages, not a stab vest in sight, no self-aggrandisement: just two hours of blistering tunes. Wheeling out Johnny Marr was the coup de grace even if he looked slightly out of place and rather awkward. An even the Pet Shop Boys were ace and that's not something I thought I'd be writing when I woke up yesterday morning.

Im sure you all know this but The Killers failed in the usa but were signed up in the uk and that is why their music is a little bit British.

I didn’t know that, Sonko.

I’ve fast forwarded straight to The Killers. I have 3 of their CDs, that’s how much I like them Love
