Wagon fall scheduled for Saturday only way to stop heavy drinking is avoid all the scenarios where you drank in the first place sad but true.

with a post like that, your transition from Horse Racing forumite to fully fledged, armchair Chit chatter is now complete.

won quite a bit of money punting today and badly want to have a few beers to celebrate etc.
The winning feeling not the same without a few beers afterwards. Any ideas to combat this?
Or just have a few beers as its been proven i can go without for a decent length of time?

Get stuck into tomorrow's form and win some more

With that attitude what you've won today will seem less significant and you won't feel the need to celebrate, your attitude was what I was like in my early days of punting for a living if I earned a decent lump could spend the next 2 weeks on the pi$$ and 2 after that recovering often missing winners in between.

Good luck in the play offs prepared83, I'm quite confident you can get past the baggies, and I'd say it's odds on you'll face Leeds in the final which will be a very tough game for the Villains. I'd love your lot to get promoted as I have a lot of Villa mates and if they do go up then I'm going to hire a box at Selhurst and invite everyone! Best of luck and fingers crossed for you Wink

Cheers slippy. A big week ahead for the villa and i'm sure both legs will be lively.
Hope you're well and the punting is going well

Well done mate, you've done very well so far. Villa, to my thoughts anyway, are going to make the play off final and if they do get promoted to the Premiership then that will be the ultimate test of your resolve!!

Made it to 20 days without but had a beer tonight. My trigger, met up with my ex girlfriend to try and sort things.
Stressed me out and only thing to chill me out afterwards was a beer.
Now heres the thing ive not craved one and wanted one in all this time so is it a stress relief?
As i admit it has chilled me out, guessing tomorrow will be the next test

If men are turning to alcohol as stress relief (hardly a novel observation), I wonder how next months virtual ban by the Tories of access to internet "relaxation" will correlate with their desire to reduce male alcohol consumption? LaughWhoopsBlush
