I hadn't heard of the Melanie Shaw case Reynard.
Watched a short vid there and it did seem very strange although the fact amnesty International aren't taking it up suggests it's not as clear cut as the vid I watched suggests. Not got time just now but will definitely delve deeper later. |
|
By:
akabula - I don't think anyone knows the full facts of the case (I have tried to delve deeper for more than a year) . Amnesty international may not have been given all the facts either .
What really grates me is when someone comes on here and says that the british justice system is fair and asks for evidence when I suggest it isn't and when I give an example (as requested twice) they turn round and say can't be bothered cos I'm 'putting my own interpretation on it' . How 'kin ignorant can you get and yet still choose to remain ignorant ? The case of Melanie Shaw is just one example of injustice , but possibly one of the most disturbing . |

Uh Oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Police have today been slammed for their 'appalling investigation' into the Gatwick chaos after they held a married couple for nearly two days without charge before admitting 'there may never have been a drone.' ![]() Paul and Elaine Kirk-Gait returned to their home in Crawley, West Sussex this morning after spending more than 36 hours being questioned by detectives over the device that brought Gatwick Airport to a standstill. As the culprit remains at large five days after the attack which grounded more than 1,000 flights and 14,000 passengers, police have been accused of failing to interview colleagues who could have vouched for the couple's whereabouts. Friends and family repeatedly insisted the pair were not the 'Eco-warriors' behind the attack and claimed officers under pressure to get results 'hastily' arrested the wrong couple. As Sussex Police this afternoon confirmed they have found a 'damaged drone' close to Gatwick, Detective Chief Superintendent Jason Tingley said there was 'no available footage and they are relying on witness accounts.' Mr Allard added: 'I know Paul well, he's worked for me for 17 years and this is going to hit him like a 10-tonne truck. Paul Gait is as harmless as a bloody new born fly. He really is, he's the most inoffensive bloke you'll ever meet. 'Although there was a complete lack of evidence, the police ripped his house apart. He refers to me as a second father and he always comes to me if there are any problems in his life. I know this will mentally destroy him. 'Paul Gait doesn't own a drone. The drone he had he sold back in mid-summer. It was only a silly little one - anyone could have gone and bought in Hamleys. Paul Gait, a double-glazing fitter, and his wife Elaine, from Crawley in West Sussex, today returned to their family home +28 Paul Gait, a double-glazing fitter, and his wife Elaine, from Crawley in West Sussex, today returned to their family home 'Sussex Police have really dropped the ball on this. I have always supported the police and I like to think I always would but in this case I think they have really got it wrong. |

Was there ever a drone in the first place ?
|
|
By:
Det Ch Supt Jason Tingley said there was no available footage of the drones and police were relying on witness accounts.
He added there was "always a possibility that there may not have been any genuine drone activity in the first place", but they were working on a range of information from members of the public, police officers and staff working at Gatwick who had reported otherwise. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-46665615 No available footage. Possibly no drone at all...??? |
|
By:
Tingley said
"We are meticulously going through that information to see if that produces any other further lines of inquiry, and also where we may focus our efforts in terms of house-to-house inquiries, CCTV footage, and any other information that will help us work through this investigation." He said there was no available footage of the drones and police were relying on witness accounts. He added there was "always a possibility that there may not have been any genuine drone activity in the first place", but they were working on a range of information from members of the public, police officers and staff working at Gatwick who had reported otherwise. If you are innocent but don't fit in the right box, or one has to be seen to be doing something after NOTHING has been done, you can be rest assured you will be in the frame. And they wonder why people do no longer have much faith in ANYONE in authority.
There was no evidence, but we are going to frighten the fk out of you so we can get a PERCEIVED result. |

Or in-between tea breaks and biscuits. And "no available footage of the drones". Is that an inference a possibility of no drone/s existed in the sky? If confirmed I'd like to be there when this news is conveyed to the x'mas holiday makers whose flights were cancelled causing chaos to their x'mas arrangements.

the only surprise in this to me is; why have they come clean so early?
I have bombarded journos-hacks on twitter with the same questions i and others have asked on here, all of them (who answered) were very disparaging towards me My main line of attack has been "Where are the pictures" So it's quite pleasing that mr plod actually mention that particular fact now |

you have to consider if one had arrested the wrong TYPE of person it may have upset one and led to a guardian headline of those who were offended
