More dire figures out today for the NHS where they've failed to catch up with the leading nations on cancer care over the last 20 years.
If they improved 10,000 lives a year could be saved. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-46349989 |
|
By:
Not sure what the extra 20bn a year will do without a complete overhaul of all nutritional guidelines and advice, they're still rolling out the 'at least half of us will get cancer' line which is only to try and normalise it.
Once again no thoughts to actual causes and only treatments in mind,I'm all for more treatment with the least suffering possible for everyone affected and no denial of any drugs based on cost/availability (seen patients denied treatments crowdfunding on local news) but just seems like another carousel statement and outcome sadly. |

Not sure if you've seen this video Dr C will probably be things you already know (only 8 minutes in when posting this) the science being revealed prompted the posting of the video these early findings proving that the genetic factor is a myth seems worth a watch but a long one 1:22.14.

Even the NHS having to admit publicly that they can reverse type 2 by announcing that their version of the 800 calorie per day diet will be put into use after successful trials which they were surprised at the results, obviously aint been looking at the available science for the last 80 odd years.
Now STUDY try try to choke on your cornflakes mate this could help you out too. |
|
By:
I told everyone from the word go that STUDYFORM was out of his depth on a subject like physiology.
And there's the evidence produced yesterday from the very people he supports. Denzil, I watched that video from Dr Gregor all the way through. As you say the evidence to prove diabetes can be reversed, has been around for decades. Unfortunately woodenheads like STUDFORM have been around for decades too. |
|
By:
It's an interesting method they're going with the strict 800 calories won't be for everyone obviously doable for the committed and weight/numbers will drop quick,it's the afterwards that'll prove problematic binges and visceral fat weight gain on the rebound could soon send them back to square one.
|
|
By:
That's something I hadn't known until Monday about the rebound weight gain and visceral fat even if you've lost subcutaneous fat you store far more as visceral each time you lose and regain,so the yo yo dieters health just gets worse and worse each time they do it.
|
|
By:
You've hit the mail right on the head Denzil.
The only way to do it is to adopt a one off diet for the long term. And for the best of health that means a starch based diet free of animal products and fat, with sugar restricted as well. You can then eat as many starchy carbs legumes and veg as you wish, and slim down with little effort in your own time. You'll eventually return to your natural weight and if diabetes hasn't gone too far - normal blood sugar. |
|
By:
Totally agree it's amazing how this way of eating normalises your weight alot of it is the hormones it switches off like the IGF1 you just can't seem to eat enough to gain fat.

Amazing my post deleted already.... here it is again (post below this one)
Posted in response to Crippen and his insults. |

Crippen, you are just about the biggest bell-end ever to have used this forum.
Throughout this thread, my posts have NEVER said you cannot reverse PRE-DIABETICS, possibly SOME diabetics, and todays report and news, clearly states RECENTLY DIAGNOSED diabetes COULD be reversed in SOME PEOPLE. You are SO tied up with your own crap, idiocy and conspiracy acquired bullplop that you can't be bothered to read what anyone opposing nearly everything you write, which is nearly everything. Only when they do, you get their posts removed. So just to reiterate, ALL I've ever said on here, which I'm still saying is TAKE PROPER MEDICAL ADVICE and don't listen to morons like you or people who are hooked on an idea that isn't ratified by anyone who didn't come up with it. That full-blown diabetes isn't reversible, and it isn't. and that you are a twt, which you are. All the stuff that you and Denzil have pontificated about might well be helpful to SOME people, but I will still maintain, you don't know who and they need to see experts. And that most of them will be PRE-diabetic and not fully established. Today's news is a trial of a slimfast type diet to lose weight and the weight loss will help. Once again it is primarily for pre and new T2 diabetics. Nothing I've said has been wrong. You are no more right than before. All the evangelical twaddle you've put on here is still just that. Now go ahead, report the post. I'll just repost it. |

And now a more censored version: Just for when my posts get removed.

I wonder what some people come on the forum for.
Because it's certainly not to discuss issues. |
|
By:
One thing the MHS enthusiasts can't deny, is that the diabetic epidemic is rapidly getting worse with the dietary advice being followed now, which is to eat a balanced diet in moderate proportions.
That's like telling a drug addict to take less cocaine or an alcoholic to drink less. It doesn't work! https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/04/25/majority-children-now-overweight-areas-official-data-reveals/ |

Look he's at it again.
He only comes on here to try and get his own back for the many times I've had to smack his bottom over his abusive attitude. |

Diabetes prescriptions now cost NHS £1bn, figures show
That is the title of the thread. I suggest you restrict your comments to the topic at hand and save your personal vendettas for elsewhere. HTH. |

It always amuses me when trying to tell people that what they eat affects their weight, how they nearly always say to me ''yes Dr Crippen but it's easy for you to say that when you are naturally slim.''
I usually give up. |

Ok Dr your such a fxxking expert. Tell me what I'm doing wrong. Had a Chinese with Strictly. A Chinese with the Fury fight and a big bag of Malteasers. Where am I going wrong ?

What are you doing wrong ufcdan?
Well speaking to me like that for a start. |

Dr the above was my attempt at humour sorry if you took offence, not my intention. See dosen't hurt, why all the bickering on here. There's plenty on here especially from the left who I don't agree with but it dosen't mean I can't be cordial. |

The more people get posts removed or report each other soon the powers to be will decide the forum is more trouble than it's worth

Think he was joking too dan.
|
|
By:
That's right dan. But some of them might want that. They were banned and they are trolls.
Except the regular contributors who don't want any opposing views. They're killing their own forum. It HAD died off a bit, but someone must have found a new way to get posts removed quickly. Truly sad. |

Too late now Denzil I'm of a sensitive nature

Forum certainly isn't what it once was STUDYFORM. The only one I have issues with is Pushkin99 only because he does report people after winding them up with his constant copy and pasting. Never says anything new and very rarely amusing. I love a ruck but it dosen't take much to get banned on here.
|
|
By:
Before the 2010 upgrade, there were probably even more rucks than there are now, but there were very few bannings. There was no report button, there was much more fun all round, and none of the crap there is now. I had loads of (real-life) mates on here, got work and so much more through the forum, and it was a proper community.
Most of them don't use the forum any longer. Those who do, use it less. What's happened since has been gradual and it's politically motivated, and this has been the biggest cause of the ruination. |

Used to be a couple of lads on the Utd forum who would go at it late at night when they'd had a few too many. Very very funny. Always made up the next day

A question guys just come across a book on the net (browsing) called
Seven steps to health...the diabetes lie Had anybody read it I am thinking of purchasing it,but it is a bit pricey, just wondering if chit chat has any answers Tia. |
|
By:
It is by Max Sidorov by the way.
|
|
By:
Good to hear you're still alive G Hall.
Haven't heard of the book but can't imagine he'll know anything outside of human physiology which helps reverse type 2 most of which are on this thread and the other diabetes thread, personally I wouldn't pay anyone a penny to tell me about reversing type 2 as there's so much FREE good advice on the net. |
|
By:
Cheers Denzil yep I'm still above ground
![]() |
|
By:
FWIW G Hall I'd do what Dr C recommends which is very low fat plant based,no meat/dairy or added sugars and add a bit of time restricted eating in which will give your body time in a low insulin state.
Easyiest way is to skip breakfast just drink black coffee, black or fruit teas, lemon water basically nothing with any calories and start eating later. First time try an 8 hour window e.g last meal 10pm night before next meals start at 2pm til 10pm and repeat you can progress quite easily to 4 hour windows but that mightn't be neccessary. |
|
By:
Ok Denzil I will look into it thanks
|

It is the disease of the affluent. I believe the sufferer needs to know when to stop eating; get off their sedentary position and do some exercise. Maybe a deterrent could be make the sufferer pay for their own prescription. Most countries do.
|
|
By:
That's true impossible123, it is the disease of the affluent.
The trouble is, as far as food is concerned we're all affluent now. Exercise has a roll to play, but I don't believe its necessary to go down the gym or swimming, unless you enjoy all that of course. I believe we can get all the exercise we need from simply walking carrying stuff and keeping on our feet as much as possible. Diet and what it consists of is the overriding culprit in diabetes and many more chronic diseases. |
