In fact commercial flights prove flat earth

Mcginty is obviously having a bit of fun, it's the others who take the conspiracy sh1t seriously I worry about!

flight paths reveal flat earth
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtYWkTEDgjM |
|
By:
I've always been led to believe that the flight paths are designed so that a plane is never x amount of time away from an airport. Apparently (and I will stand corrected if wrong) this is why planes to the states fly north towards Greenland before approaching Canada/USA. This might explain why flights do not use the poles.

studyform
once again you show how impossible it is to explain anything to you Where did I mention the stretching of time, or the compression of time, or time being another dimension? now read this sentence slowly and carefully and try to understand it the universe is flat because of the length of time that the universe has existed Did you get that?... the vast period of time that it has been in existence now no one is impressed with any other waffle you come out with or any other made up nonsense that you think I might have said read that sentence, and I suggest you don't read anything else until you can understand it. |

Flat?!!!
![]() |
|
By:
now before you start becoming confused, again
I am not asking you to agree with it, I am not sure that I believe it myself because the proof is not there, its a theory I am simply asking you to understand that simple sentence ..you know not in the way you misunderstood these simple 7 words: the universe is flat, because of time (somehow you got that mixed up and thought time was flat) good |
|
By:
there is no point reading words studyform, if you don't understand words
|
|
By:
oh and it is at least good that you now seem to understand that when you said the universe couldn't be flat because you could see in every direction was of course idiotic
well I think you understand, at least you haven't repeated it |
|
By:
the universe is flat, because of time
I asked you yesterday to explain this. Its been 24 hours. You are still stuck on convincing others about something that you yourself refuse to explain(not for the first time). So i'll try again. I asked this yesterday: lfc, you could clear everything up by saying why over time everything goes as flat as a piece of paper. But you've talked rest of the bollocks without giving a reason for your own claim. Spare me the bollocks. Just explain. I already agree with you. But just give me a reason so if someone asks me, I can tell him and not sound stupid. Please. |

try answering to the point. and in one message. I am not as clever as you. Just keep it simple if you can.

Maybe the Antarctic is the outer rim of the flat earth?
Seems it a special place, Very..OFF LIMITS..for the unwashed... |
|
By:
detraveller everything in the natural world is subject to erosion and atrophy , yes everywhere even in space and the universe
it can be a quick process or a very very slow process, but everywhere in the universe is subject to this process And given enough time, and the vast amount of time the universe has been in existence, this means that the universe is flat The earth looks flat, and is round. And the universe looks round, and is flat Isn,t that strange ![]() |

This is the best fishing thread I've read for a long time.
If the earth were flat then boats and ships would fall off. |

Not that I expect ANY kind of concession that anything you have put so incoherently on here in crap, lfc.
I am having one last go at explaining this to you. A professor of mathematics I once met on a train, proved to me, mathematically, that 1+1=1. It doesn't. This is the simplest way I can describe this 'flat' thing. So I will repeat, the universe cannot be "as flat as a piece of paper", not least because you can see out in all directions. IF it has shape and isn't just infinite - something we just cannot comprehend - then in all likelihood, the universe is spherical. BUT, and this includes you lfc, NO-ONE KNOWS. For every mountain that becomes flat a new mountain is created. New stars, new planets are born from the nebulae of old supernovae. Space and the universe is NOT subject to erosion and atrophy without being replaced. Matter and energy are never lost, they just take new form. You are very confused by a very complex mathematical theory and have become convinced about some weird understanding of it that only you possess. Basically lfc, you are typing many posts of self-contradictory shoite, like you always do. Time, as we understand it, began with the Big Bang, best guesses now put that at anything up to 42 billion years ago. with the furthest observable parts of the universe about 13.8 billion light years away. Just to help you out a tiny bit I've c+p'd a bit from this site: http://curious.astro.cornell.edu/about-us/103-the-universe/cosmology-and-the-big-bang/geometry-of-space-time/606-how-can-the-universe-be-flat-we-re-3d-beginner It's great when our readers answer their own questions! #2 is totally correct - when we say the universe is flat it is not in the same sense that a piece of paper is flat, but rather means that the geometry of the universe is such that parallel lines will never cross, the angles in a triangle will always add up to 180 degress, and the corners of cubes will always make right angles. We call this kind of geometry (the kind you learned in school) Euclidean geometry. It's easy to make examples in 2D space (ie. a flat piece of paper vs. a curved piece of paper, or the surface of a balloon). It's not so easy to illustrate flat 3D space - since we are 3D! So it's totally understandable that the concept is confusing Oh and while we're at it, the Earth is not flat and anyone who says it is, is either attention seeking, or amazingly thick. |

so incoherently on here IS crap, lfc.
|
|
By:
studyform you have repeated the idiotic mistake that you made before and said the universe cannot be flat, as flat as a piece of paper, because you can see in every direction
now if you where a microscopic dot, smaller than that, within a piece of paper and looked up, and down , left and right, what do you think you would see? |
|
By:
oh f*ck off
|
|
By:
and things don't continuously form and reform into mountains, things fall apart
the centre cannot hold |
|
By:
yes they will, for a time, but only for a time
and in time everything becomes flat |
|
By:
I thought that black holes, which just suck matter in and spew it out in streams of energy were only to be found at the centre of galaxies.
I was wrong, YOU are a mini black hole, lfc. |
|
By:
bad language doesn't answer the question study, could you look in all directions if you were a small dot within a flat piece of paper?
its quite an easy question |
|
By:
I have answered everything, you are asking. AND have put links up too.
|
|
By:
still no answer, that's ok
sometimes the question is more important than the answer |
|
By:
...... Next victim please.....
|
|
By:
still no answer, its a very simple question study
yes or no ? |
|
By:
its ok study you don't have to answer, sometimes its more revealing when someone doesn't answer
even a wrong answer or a right answer may not be as revealing as no answer |

My wife and daughter have been planting tiny seeds this weekend.
And I have it on good authority that they will break through the soil and grow upwards (but there is no up or down on a globe surely) against the laws of 'gravity' (fairies, leprachauns, unicorns, intelligent people), which keeps millions of gallons of water wrapped around a gigantic ball floating in space? If you were brought up with the knowledge of only what you see and experience...and then when you were 50 years old someone told you that the earth was a globe you would p*ss your pants laughing. |
|
By:
lfc, I've listened to what you have said, with some interest I might add, and I've come to my own conclusion that you could be right, who knows? As you say, everything, over time, disintegrates... that makes sense.
However I will add that from where I'm sitting you cannot possibly know that the universe is flat for sure; it is your theory based on what you've learned and understood to date. I respect that but I would feel a lot more comfortable with you admitting that in your best judgement your theory is correct rather than your assertion that you are most definitely correct. I repeat, you cannot possibly know this for sure and I doubt anyone else does either. As for the Earth being flat; I just cannot buy into that at all. I believe man has come far enough to determine the truth on that scale and unlike other conspiracy theories, I see no reason why this would be a hidden truth. It makes no sense at all. |

Maybe in the 15th century people would "p*ss their pants " There is an "upwards" on a spherical Earth. We generallydefine "up" as moving away from the centre of Earth. It has as much to do with language as with science. However sunrise/sunset are a different times - as would expect on a spherical Earth. Length of day is different depending on time of year - explained by spherical Earth tilting on axis. Angle of incidence to sun fits in with spherical Earth - not flat. You can witness large ships disappear over the horizon - on a large ship the hull "disappears first leaving the upper parts visible - as would expect with spherical Earth. San Nav uses satellites in orbit around a spherical Earth. Even with a flat Earth there would still need a "gravity like" force to keep everything "down" A flat Earth theory can't explain what is observed. |
|
By:
McGinty - Although I realise you must be taking the pish.
Gravity belongs to mass. The more mass the more the gravity. The Earth is quite massive, a spinning ball isn't. "Up" is away from the centre of a globe, no matter where you are on it. We are tiny, the Earth is big. If you were a single cell in the crevice of a brick on the outside wall of Wembley stadium, you wouldn't be able to tell that you needed to travel round a couple of corners to be on a wall on the other side of Wembley stadium. Anyone saying the Earth is flat is either attention seeking, or mad. |
|
By:
If gravity is a true force ...
I should be able to walk up the side of a mountain with ease because people on the earth from my perspective are walking up/down the side of the earth or even walking upside down. Come on...wake up it's all BS! |
|
By:
That's just abject blollocks.
GRAVITY MEANS YOU ARE BEING PULLED TOWARDS THE CENTRE OF A BIG GLOBE |
|
By:
I wonder, does any "flat-earther" twerp watch SKY TV?
|
|
By:
So the force of gravity keeps oceans pulled to the earth
but a tiny butterfly can flit around my garden with consummate ease. Can someone explain this because if stephen hawking (aka NASA puppet) was alive he would blind you with complete bollox and you'd believe it because he had a computerised voice. |
|
By:
Mcginty
When the rest of your class at school were learning about basic science did you teacher say you were "special " and give you a picture to colour one? That mountain question is just total carp. The Earth is very big - we are attracted to the centre of this big Earth. In comparison the mountain is small. We can barely notice the gravitational attraction to the mountain. Why do we get sunset/ sunrise at different times. - maybe it is because we are on a spherical Earth? |
|
By:
If it wasn't for gravity, the tiny butterfly would flap it's tiny wings all the way to outer space.
|
|
By:
Mcginty- you are not answering any questions yet are posting loads of silly questions.
The butterfly would need to overcome the force to fly regardless of the Earth being fat or round. It produces uplift by flapping its wings & shaping its wings . This takes energy so the butterfly needs fuel to fly. Why is sunset at different times? We are on a spherical Earth. |
|
By:
Gravity then is selective.
Massive things are pulled towards it and tiny things aren't. Thankyou Einstein(s) I must go back to the schools you were educated in FFS! |
