you,ve got to hand it to the bbc and pundits sitting there 6hrs a day making excuse after ecxcuse for GB failure cant be easy, bar in the wrong place, not heavy enough,KJ would win if they didn't take her poor events into account.each Olympic gold cost the taxpayer millions, other Olympic sports that fail get their funding cut, wonder if the axe will fall on athletics after this shambles

I must admit I only tuned in for the 100 metres on Saturday evening and was nauseating at the bolt worship that went on, but what entertainment I nearly fell off my chair laughing when gatlin won it.

The absolute shock horror on the beeb made for excellent viewing, I was in convulsions well done to the beeb for providing such an enjoyable spectacle.

Laura Muir.... No pressure
We were set a target of 6-8 medals before the start of the games, so far we have 1.
Assuming Mo gets another, where are the other 4 coming from?
Relying on Laura to get a couple, our 20k walker, and a relay medal. Confused

These BBC women are bigging up 'gold medal prospect' Laura Muir so much. It's annoying

I would be surprised if she got a medal - 2.9 medal lay.

Kipyegon is better value around 5s than Hassan but it should be close

Very tough. Really feel for her.
She will be replaying that race over and over, but you only get one chance.
Let's hope she gets a medal in the 5k

Kenya have been branching out into other Athletic events outside of the long distance running in recent years haven't they?

Julius Yego threw the 10th longest Javelin throw in history 2 years ago and now a Kenyan 1500m World Champion
