Tuesday October 11: Search dog Jack, a border collie, and his handler Dave Forster comb a two-square-mile area near the A134 at Ingham. They are joined by search and rescue veteran Kevin Waterson, founder of the East Anglian branch of the National Search and Rescue Dog Association, who also previously helped with the search for missing April Jones in Wales in 2012 and the hunt for one of serial killer Steve Wright’s victims.
More than 20,000 leaflets and posters have now been handed out by volunteers over the course of one week. The missing person flyers are being coordinated by Cheryl Hickman, of the The Bull Inn at Barton Mills. A fundraising page in aid of SULSAR’s search for Corrie – which is run on a voluntary basis – passed the £2,000 mark on a crowdfunding page. Wednesday October 12: Search and rescue teams, including Mr Waterson’s dog unit, comb the area along the A134 near Fornham St Martin. Thursday October 13: Tyler Watson, the nine-year-old niece of Corrie, writes a heart-rending letter to her missing uncle asking him to come home. Friday October 14 to Saturday October 15: Police make it clear, after speculation on social media, that the body of a man found in Derbyshire is not that of Corrie. Corrie’s dad, Martin McKeague, speaks to the press for the first time and makes a heart-felt plea for anyone who has any information to come forward. Martin spends the night handing out missing person flyers and talking to people in Bury town centre between 10pm Friday and 4am Saturday, while police carry out three week “anniversary checks”. 3.24am on the Saturday marks exactly 21 days since Corrie was last seen. Sunday October 16: Celebrity cook Delia Smith helps to publicise the appeal to find Corrie McKeague. Monday October 17: Police confirm the three young witnesses traced after being seen on CCTV behind Cornhill Walk shopping centre have all now been spoken to. They had no significant information and were unable to confirm any clue as to where Corrie went after 3.24am September 24. |

Corrie Mckeague: Missing RAF airman's father 'at a loss' The father of an RAF airman who went missing three weeks ago has said "someone must know something" about his son's whereabouts. Corrie Mckeague, 23, a gunner based at RAF Honington in Suffolk, vanished after a night out in Bury St Edmunds early in the morning of 24 September. His father Martin Mckeague said he is "really at a loss" to know what has happened to him. Suffolk Police is continuing to search for the missing airman. He was last spotted on CCTV walking alone and eating takeaway food in Bury St Edmunds at 03:20 BST. It is thought he stopped for a nap in a doorway before setting off to walk the nine miles (15km) back to his base. A trace on his mobile phone showed it was in Bury St Edmunds early on 24 September but then moved to the Barton Mills area. Police have found neither Mr Mckeague nor his phone. His father, Martin Mckeague, 47, who lives in Scotland, said: "Three weeks' down the line and [we are] nowhere. "We need someone to come forward with something. Someone must have information, someone must have seen something. I'm really at a loss. "It's desperate, frustrating. If someone had picked Corrie up that night and dropped him off wherever, we need that type of information. "If someone had picked up his phone, and then thrown it away, they're not in trouble, it's just putting the pieces together if that's what happened," Mr Mckeague added. On Saturday, TV chef Delia Smith added her support to the search by posing with a missing poster which was handed out at Norwich City Football Club, of which she is a director. |

The talk here in the area is that he tried to walk back to the base after a night out in Bury St. Edmunds and was hit by a car. The driver, possibly through being the worse for wear or fearing the consequences, put the body in the boot and disposed of it who knows where.

The story is back in the news today.

His Mobile was then traced along the route to a landfill site but police ruled out the possibility that he might have ended up in bin that was subsequently emptied into a refuse truck. Then you have the possibility he might have been abducted, as there had been an attempted abduction of a serviceman earlier last year. |

It has been proven that an individual cannot leave the area on foot without being seen on CCTV, but Mr Mckeague was not caught on camera again. |

everything points to him being dead.
If they are 100% certain from the CCTV that he hasn't walked out from the loading bay area then likelihood is he was abducted/attacked/killed there - phone thrown in the bin lorry and then he was moved out of the area in a car. Alternatively, he has got a lift in a car heading out of Bury St Edmunds, got dropped off somewhere and then something has happened - accident/hit & run/got lost/fallen in a ditch or river/attacked Baffling |

Bin Lorry has to be the Key perhaps was in bin asleep and got out before the Tip ,if he could not walk out on foot he has to be in a vehicle which shirley they would have CC TV of ?

Yeah I dont understand if he was in an area which he couldnt walk out of without being on CCTV why no cars being looked for.
This whole case doesn't sit very comfortable with me and I'm not sure why. However, it was found that the weight of the bin lorry's load was 15kg (33lb) - too light to have contained Mr Mckeague. As a result, the lorry was released and the landfill site was not searched. |

does anyone know Cambridge at all - i remember once back in the 80s my brother came down to see me in Cambridge and we ended up at a hotel that had a bridge directly opposite it crossing the River Cam - anyway im not kidding but the depth of the water where the bridge was cud only have been 6-7 feet at this point and yet some young lad managed to jump in and disappear down the Cam - took them 5 or 6 days to find the body if i remember

not a boring news story if u r a relative.........only way to solve such cases is to keep it in the media.........strongly recommend "disappeared"......an american US series about real missing persons cases...........they are all on youtube.........the stuff that goes on in this word is truly mindbogling

Just read it was a Saturday morning and therefore unlikely to have been a bin round that day, so how his mobile was then tracked 12 miles away a few hours later only deepens the mystery!

it was a private Biffa bin lorry collecting paper waste from Greggs hence collecting on a Saturday morning and the low weight of its contents.
Had the phone been in with the rubbish, it should have come to light at sorting. The phone was not necessarily in the bin or the lorry when it pinged the mast, just travelling in the same area. Barton Mills is a different route away from BSE (Mildenhall area) to RAF Honington (Thetford area). |

I think that possible sighting was proved not to be Corrie,
so the last confirmed sighting remains 3.25 am in the centre of BSE, in an area he would have been unable to leave on foot without being picked up on other CCTV in the town centre. |
