It was not my normal doctor who is great but some lady doctor it was the first time I had the displeasure of meeting.

I took a seat and when and explained I was suffering from a painful back due to be in a car accident. Car crash actually although no other vehicles were involved. I was not culpable in any way. Was driving along a narrow country road at night where works were being carried out.It should not have been open and there were no adequate warning signs. Driving on the proper side of my road when all of a sudden the car falls into a trench that had been dug which was bout 12 feet deep and several feet wide. It took about three hours to get the car removed out which hanging sideways and vertical into the trench. The rest of the details are not really important but thankfully no one was critically hurt. My wife was in the car and was injured more than me and suffered cuts, bruising and has since suffered from quite severe back pain.

Anyway as soon as I mentioned back pain and car accident I could see what she was thinking. Compo claim. She even went on to say it and asked why did I not go to emergency right away instead of waiting a few days to come to her. For ta start the right is probably a right off and had to be taken away. I never said I was on deaths door-just had back pains which had got worse over the next few days but it was game over because it was due to it being as a result of a car crash.
Why did I not get an ambulance she sad if it was so bad.
You don't suddenly get back pain a few days afterwards. she said.
She then brought up the subject of claiming insurance compensation and solicitors which I had not even mentioned with the clear implications that's the only reason I was there. I said I have not decided about that ( not that it was any of her business anyway ). If it does not clear up I will think about that then.

Due to her tone and attitude I asked her politely what was she writing down in case I did wish to claim for injuries and I said your obviously sceptical of everything I have said. She then I am not going to court to be your lawyer. I never even mentioned anything about making a personal injury claim never mind going to any legal issues.

These last comments were by the way at the time I was leaving when she give me a script for some painkillers and said hopefully it will clear up in a few days.  She never even examined me. she just sat on her chair the whole time. She even said if you were that bad you would have went to casualty at the time. It was after midnight when we got home that night and we have a young child so we could not have went and it was not as if I said it was a very serious injury.

I was very polite to her at all times but her attitude was a disgrace. When you go to see a doctor you like o think you at least come out feeling better in some way. You don't expect to come out feeling worse due to the way the doctor talks to you and never even examined me to come up with the best treatment.

By sheer coincidence my sister was going into see the same doctor directly as I left. I will not repeat what I told my sister what I thought of her but I wanted to find out later what she thought of her. My sister also coincidentally was suffering from severe neck pains brought about by stress which was probably due to the stress of her personal family situation as its been a rough few months for her. According to my sister she could not have been more nice and helpful. She examined her and suggested she should take some time off work and she would make out a sick note. My sister said she would rather not as going to work kept her mind occupied under the stress she was under.

Her attitude to me was obviously down to what in her mind was an alleged car accident. Well there was nothing alleged about it. A senior person from the road came to the scene very soon and could not have been more helpful. He wanted to know if we were okay and he told us to make a claim for the purposes of the damages to the car to his own department. He said the road should have been closed or at least clear signage, warning signs and the trench hole cordoned off. He took pictures for his own benefit as he said there was no question in terms of the liability and to tell my car insurance to contact him directly. He said while the claim will have to be made against his department the sub contractors carrying out the work were clearly at fault and they will be in turn putting the liability at their door. He brought us home and very at night called back to our home to check we were okay and if we needed any medical help. We said we suffered no serious injuries and he said he even advised us to see how we feel over the next few days as he had experience of a car accident and while he felt okay enough at the time we experienced more and more pain over the following days. Obviously thats not possible according to the doctor I seen today. I was getting annoyed by her whole attitude at this time I replied would you like to put that down in writing please for me as medical fact.

Change your doctor if you're not satisfied with her.

Are you in a clinic with a choice of Docs?

I would write a written complaint to the practice paddle. Factually the Doctor is wrong. It's quite possible for there to be no immediate sign of injury as a result of an accident but for it then to emerge during the course of the next few days. Sadly we do live in more sceptical times because of the behaviour of some people but as long as you are being honest you should be fully compensated for any losses you incur as a result of the accident including regarding your health. The Doctor had no place casting aspersions in the manner she did and I would have wasted no time in telling her to look through your records to see that you weren't either a malingerer or time waster.

A brilliant doctor,principled and excellent.

From your own post we know she is a good doctor, your sister told you.

She obviously saw through you immediately as any rational person would.
Her questions were relevant, she knew you were uninjured because there was nothing wrong with you the time of the accident.
The pain only arrived when you began to realise it wasn't really your fault ( a moot point ) and you could see the dollar signs.

An unprincipled doctor would have acted like Eeternaloptimist and advised you how to exaggerate your alleged injuries.

A look through his record would more than likely show a malingerer.
Guarantee he doesn't work and guarantee he has a medical card.

Write to Head of Practice if  a Medical Centre with multiple Doctors. And write a formal letter of complaint to Medical Council.
You need s formal  medical examination( as does your wife), to the extent of your injuries, with a written report on the findings.
Obtain copies of the photos of the scene from the gentleman you mentioned.
Definitely consult a Solicitor re injuries caused by the crash.
And seek advice regarding suing the Council for their apparent negligence re: the roadworks.

Wildman you made one good point in that. I wont be making an official complaint because of the way my sister said she treated her.
I will leave the surgery and write her a letter and personally tell her my sister appreciated all the help you give her as she is going through a bad time.
I will say the letter is between me and her and no one else and then I will tell her what I think of her and the way she talked to me and came to an immediate medical opinion based on back injury and car crash. I will try to be polite as possible but with some things its difficult to be so polite. I was absolutely seething when I left her room. I would not say some things to a woman or come across aggressive but if you want to know what I said to my sister as she passed me about to go into see the same doctor that is one good for nothing stuck up fxxxxing bxxxxtch. I wanted to find out how she treated her when she got home and she had a different opinion of her which is fine. She can think of me what she wants. I will tell if she feels bad about some things I will write in the letter thats a good thing. And you should remember how bad you sometimes treat others.

For the record Wildman I should probably be compensated for something but I have never made a compensation claim in my life. The car will get fixed but thee could have been very serious injuries in the incident.

I will admit Wildman I fall short of high high moral standards in some things and have broken some laws of the land but only when my own sense of morality supercedes laws. Its not often but it has happened.

The priest must have a handy time listening to your confessions Wildman. Your sinless.

You could not bet the odds on that Facts would advise someone to sue.

This gentleman hates his own country,he hates it so much he wants to import cultures he approves of in other to undermine or dilute the indigenous culture.

Patriots don't sue, patriots don't help others to sue.
Facts is greedy, you know e would sue everyone from his Grandmother for loot.

Assisting an obvious chancer is a crime and should be treated as such.

Complaining a doctor for being honest is a waste of the medical councils time.

My advice to Paddletoe is don't bother suing, you know your not injured.
If you did manage to wangle some loot you will have no luck with it.

And when I mean others I mean people who might be more sensitive than me because I wont be seeing her again.

I could just tell her some of the words I used to describe her after I left and some were worse than the ones I mentioned but that would be kind of selfish and it would be all about me. She is a doctor and while I will tell her I wont be seeing her again others will and she may not like to hear this but I am not the only one who thinks she is a xxxxxx  xxxxxxx. Lots of people think the same about her medical opinions and social judgments. I will nicely tell her I think someone should tell you this sooner rather than later.

Hard to explain the full story of why I was so mad but it was more than the way she talked to me in a snooty judgemental way. She is going to get a mouthful of what I think of her and and what many others do too. I had never met her before but had heard about her.

Your fooling yourself Paddletoe.
" I should probably be compensated for something "
These are your words and are a tacit admission that there is nothing wrong with you, forget about it you will feel better about it in the long run.

You can make that medical opinion without knowing the facts Wildman?

Would'nt be the first time you were wrong. Sure, you said I even talked about my country when I did not even live in it in. Lived in more parts of it than you. Remember that one. Unike the way you look up to the catholic church and see some things as sins I can think for myself and use my own moral code which I happen to think is at least above average.

And if you want to start talking about people hating their country you should make up your mind which country is the one you love most!
By:

You made it yourself.
Read what you wrote.

" I should be compensated for something "

You can't even specify what you want the compensation for,you don't even say this dubious bad back that occurred days after the event.

You can't claim loss of earnings as you don't work so presumably this claim is based on pain and suffering.

If your own doctor is hostile how do you think the opposing doctor is going to treat you.

Its heartening that somewhere in rural Tyrone there is an excellent doctor,a moral doctor who spotted a chancer and called his bluff.

Oh missed one of your statements Wildman.

On Patriotism. Patriots don't hold the catholic church above its people and courts of the land who give their judgements on the abuse of its children. If memory serves me right you give your opinions on patriotism on that matter when you said many of the people were making the stories up.

You have more in common with sharia law than you want to believe when you blame the victims and stick up for the priests.

You call me unpatriotic! You should be hung for treason and it shows you are are biased in matters of alleged compensation. It suits you to believe it.Because it suits your religious views on many matters.

Maybe they have different standards down in the south where they bow down to priests and refuse to believe some things while telling us northerners about patriotism. A good priest is respected where I live but when one of them refused to even let a coffin into the church with our national flag on it and issued a sermon about violence he was making it to the wrong people and most people walked out. Only the ones like you stayed behind.

Paddletoe.

You very well may be innocent of the suggested allegations of opportunism but there is one point I'd like to add that I see quite often and in my experience says a great deal about how people are perceived.

Whenever somebody says 'has/have went' then alarm bells instantly sound. It doesn't for a second suggest guilt but it does get judged as a measure of a person's IQ.

People can argue the rights and wrongs and even attempt to blame me for saying it but I'm simply telling you how it is.

You might as well have taken a 5hit on her desk, had the back been upto it.

Doctors deal with sick people.
A principled doctor is working hard when in comes Paddletoe, she has is file.
He is young and doesn't bother working,he is a regular visitor,he's not paying.

He tells her his story, its obvious he is at it.
He tells her he drove his car into a trench, naturally not his fault, not injured at the time but has lately developed a bad back.

This great doctor can't tell Paddletoe to get out,she can't call him a malingering chancer so she just gives him some mild pain killers.
He knows he's rumbled so its blame the doctor time.

Even during the course of this discussion his condition has deteriorated, what started as back pain is now producing flashbacks.

police report? (obviously you would have called the police immediately to report this death trap), blood alcohol level? (standard procedure), ambulance or hospital report? (once again, standard procedure for the police to call an ambulance). As long as you followed standard procedure there should be no issues.

listen to facts, if anyone can destroy the life of an honest and hard working doctor it's him.
as for scamming the system for cash provided by the rubes otherwise known as honest consumers or gullible taxpayers, he's second to none.
i hope your medical care is nhs because doubling dipping (or double sponging) is his speciality, taking large doses of cash out of the public system while attempting to extract the maximum cash in litigation based around the american private system.

hopefully at the end of this we will have one less competent doctor, and one more dangerous driver with a fat wad of public cash, good luck pal Cool

I accept it was late Eeternaloptimist but a mere desultory read of the opening post screams fake.

He unwittingly tells us its bogus with this immortal line " I should be compensated for something "

Even more revealing is the sisters dealing with the same doctor, this doctor deserves great credit.
She had notes on Paddletoe,he's more than likely on the sick, she saw his demeanour, she got it immediately and wanted nothing to do with it.
Its a great pity there's not more like her.

You knew exactly how this thread would divide.
The self loathers, the takers all for getting as much compensation regardless of whether it was deserved.
The patriotic, the ones contributing spotting the wrong doing.
Once you saw Facts advising how to sue you knew it was wrong.

Dr Crippens contribution a surprise,I had him in the patriotic contributing sector.

Not at all how I approached it wildman. My previous dealings with paddle have suggested he seems to be a decent chap and I'm more than happy to give him the benefit of the doubt until he shows himself to be dodgy. I doubt there is anybody who isn't aware of what goes on including paddle. The fact that he became symptomatic a few days later can be seen both ways but I'm pretty sure most wide boys would have been straight off to hospital working out how they were going to spend their compo.

Wildman, please accept this message as a declaration of war against you. Obviously I don't mean in the literal sense.

I will start by being honest and say I have slightly different morals than you and while you vindictively like to say I hate my country at every opportunity I wont say the same about you as I don't know you enough to judge you. You and I know what I mean by these statements and your intent to cause offense to me but you don't cause any offense as you are free to say what you want.

Would I do something against the law when big business was concerned. Yes, I would not think twice about it in some circumstances. Not all but some.  That's the way I was brought up and the culture of the place I live. That might not meet your morals which is based on double standards and being a hypocrite. But we have a lot higher standards of what is right and wrong in my opinion and respect is not given just because a priest wears a collar.. A persons religion is not judged and a collar around a priests neck means nothing if he does the type of things you defend where you blame the accusers and stick up for the clergy because they have a collar.

If your parish priest had a car accident you would not be asking the same questions about them despite their crimes being only the tip of the ice berg.

If you want to ask me a question please feel free but if your going to ask and answer the questions please don't assume you are right.
I don't work and claim sickness benefit, you say. If I did I would tell you. so I have nothing to hide why don't you put up or shut up on that specific point if you have any balls to back up your words on a simple issue which can be proved. Then we can move on to some other issues if you like.
One of the subjects is your double standards and hypocricy when looking for muslim people who have been responsible and we have nothing to disagree over that. But while you look at places all over Europe you don't like talking about abuse by priests in Ireland and even call some of the people abused liars. That's where we differ but something you have in common with the religion of islam which you vent so much anger at and in many cases rightly so you also base your nationality more on religion than on the people of the country. Thats the Ireland you represent so yes I hate that Ireland if you want the truth.
I have never made an insurance claim in my life and have never went to see any doctor for any fake injuries and I went to the see the doctor for another reason and mentioned the other thing in case I genuinely needed some back up for if needed later.
When I said I deserved something for an incident caused by someone else I did not mean it in the way you said. I think I deserve an apology from you but I neither want one or will accept one. That's what I meant by compensation.

If you want to have a bet about something easily verified I will only do so if you make it a large enough of money to cause pain to one of us. Which incidentally would be very hard to save if I was on sickness benefit. Lets put your believes to the test for once and you can even give your winnings if your right to the catholic church. They are a bit short and and could do with the money.

I Know I was away from this forum for a while. I must have missed the part when you were elected to be the arbiter of the credentials required for you to say they hate their country. For a start you have no knowledge of what I would perceive my country to be. But your entitled to put that forward as an opinion if you want.

Now lets deal with that factual matter which can be proved easily one way or the other. I am going to call you a coward if you don't take up my offer. That's just an opinion by the way but most people would say it as close to a fact as you can get if you decline my offer. I don't need the money by the way. But I will use it as a tool to show you up or take it off you just for the sheer satisfaction because of the way you judge people and say one thing but act in another way.

Take your time and think about it. There is no rush to reply right away but please don't make up excuses. We don't actually have to even make it about money but it needs to be based on something more than seeing who is right or wrong. It now has to be about making it a matter of compensation. I think I deserve some from you. I will make it hard for you not to see it the same because I only just starting with you for the things you have said about which you know are things said about more than just me and about other things. And don't pretend you don't know what I mean,

I was not asking for any letter and I don't even know if you have to get a letter for legal purposes. I wanted to see in writing some of the things she said which was not an unreasonable request. She said some things which while she was making notes I asked her if she would be prepared to say those same things in writing. I was not going to sue her. I was just going to make an official complaint. She is well known and hated by most people according to someone I was talking to today.
