I suppose stalking is out of the question.

What's more she could probably argue that it confirmed her original diagnosis. Plain

You must be very naïve Akabula if you think she would deny saying some things so that's why I asked her would she please be willing to put the same words in writing. It was a simple request as she could not claim she had no recollections of something said two minutes ago.

This country is going to the dogs. I am aware of at least two normally honest upstanding members of the community who after car crashes claimed for whiplash and received compensation. They are the kind of people who would be horrified at the thought of stealing and yet think it okay to commit what is in essence fraud. Quite baffling.

I possibly could have whiplash. I don't really know. But she hurt my feelings that's for sure.

Her job is to treat the patient. She has no right to make a judgement on any moral or legal issues. That`s for the courts to decide if paddle puts in a claim. Most GPs are a sleekit bastards. The guy has been treated deplorably by a **** of a doctor imo.
By:

So that's the long and short of it. And if anyone thinks I am motivated by money I can would waste as much of my time (and time is money) to get that one run out of town if I even had a sniff of a chance. I mean by legal means. I am not going to stalk her.  I would consider it an act of community service. She can move to Tipperary where apparently that style of person is respected.

She has acted in a very unprofessional manner. Make an official complaint regarding your treatment and tell her that you are reporting her to the GMC. That`ll get her wind up. You`ll probably need to change your practice though and get another doctor as they will close ranks.

She was goading you for a reaction and she has obviously jumped to the wrong conclusion. i.e. that you are just after a claim. Her job is to treat the patient not pass judgement. I sometimes wonder if the Insurance Companies have started paying them to do this.

The best bit was that when my sister who had made an appointment for the same doctor by sheer coincidence went into see the same doctor right after me. I wont say what she went in for but it genuine and my sister said she was lovely.

And Wildman should like the irony in this part about his new heroine she even asked my sister would she like a sick note to take time off work. My sister never even asked for one or intimated in any way she wanted one. She said no she would rather work despite her problems.

You could'nt make it up.

* You can injure your back and not feel the effects immediately. So what the OP had stated is nothing unusual.

* THe doctor should have not engaged with the patient regarding whether he intended in making a claim or not. She initiated the conversation. It was none of her business. She should have never had brought it up. She wasn't at the accident, she has no knowledge about the extent of the impact etc.

* A patient has asked for treatment for back pain. She should have asked him where exactly the pain was on his back. Asked him to remove his top and given him a proper examination. Also, she should have asked him to return in a few days if the pain has not gone away.

It seems she decided, without even examining him, that he was lying. Her line of questioning confirms this.

I would: 1) Make an appointment with another doctor and ask for a proper examination. 2) Ask to see the practice manager (in person) and tell them you want to make a written complaint about doctor XXXX and you want to know what the correct procedure is. This will get back to the doctor in question - which is what you want.

The OP could be lying through his teeth for all I know, but the doctor acted unprofessionally by * concentrating on the insurance aspect and * not doing a proper examination.

Also sounds like you are trying to justify a false claim to yourself on this thread, and get others to justify your actions too.

Ebden thanks for your message. I will even copy it as it summed up her behaviour from a professional point of view

Everything I said was true. And even if I was not hurt her behaviour would be the same She should have done her job and had no right to ask a patient those. In most cases she might be right even if she guessed before she saw the patient. Again that's an irrelevance.

Your a f00king embarassment, Padletoe.

For once, Borneo is right.

Be grateful that your back isn't too bad and get on with your life.  Its pathetic that you would even consider trying to profit from it and see those who do as morally acceptable.

The Doctor should have given you a root in the hole.

Ever thought Paddletoe that she goes to work to help those who are genuinely sick/injured and she gets fed or downright fuming with people wasting valuable "doctor" time which is not only costly but takes away time from seeing people who are really ill and need treatment. So that they can put in false compensation claims.

Nothing to justify in my own head. I have openly said I would make a false claim in such circumstances against a big company who were totally responsible.

I'm sorry paddle but I've defended your position but this is just awful. This whole I'd steal from the big company because nobody gets hurt but them view is just nonsense. You don't hurt the big company. They just pass that hurt on to the little guy who is honest. Do you want that on your conscience? If you're genuinely hurt then claim what you are due. Be better and stronger than seeking to help yourself to that which isn't rightfully yours.

Paddletoe forget everything concerning the doctor. You pay road tax and you do not expect to drive into a 12 foot trench, this should not have been possible. They can`t expect people to pay road tax if this sort of thing can happen.
See your solicitor and let him know the extent of your injuries..this will only be known by you, not the doctor.
You may have had previous injuries which had healed (such as a knee injury from football) which have been inflamed by this accident causing slight pain when walking and causing you to take the weight of that knee slightly as you walk, for example.
At some point during the claims process you will be sent to see an independent doctor, tell him whatever you have told your solicitor.
That will be the extent of it and after a few months you should receive an offer which if you accept will mean not having to attend court.

Paddletoe you created this thread, you posed the question.
You just don't like the answer.

A man is driving down a country road, his wife strangely was in the back seat.
He drives into a trench, was he driving too fast, was he looking where he was going, more than likely.

His wife hurts her back,he is unhurt.
His wife then insists he goes for a check up,nothing to do with the accident.
He then starts to develop back pain.

Now the real hero comes into the picture.
A dedicated doctor who deals with sick people is on duty,in shuffles Paddletoe, this busy doctor has his file.
Her experienced eye spots a malingerer,a chancer.
Her concern is for genuine sick patients outside so she gives the non paying gentlemen short shrift.

Disappointed he now decides to take on this excellent doctor.
He will now have to rely on the back seat travelling wife's compensation.

I hope the claim is challenged, not alone do I not believe their injuries I believe the driver was lore than likely at fault in the accident.

Compensation culture is rife and its not a victimless crime.
I'm consistently against this culture.
Doctors can barely do their job with this constant suing, the rapacious bewigged gentlemen end up with all the money.

Paddletoes bad experience with the Catholic Church is nothing to do with me.
My argument about bogus claims has been proven.

The best example I can give you is The Jersey Girls, these were the 9/11 widows, they got millions in compensation.
Their spokeswoman was a Spanish lady who lost her boyfriend in one of the towers she survived with just burn injuries.
She was everywhere,making speeches,meeting Presidents.
However someone like the brave doctor in this story saw something was wrong and investigated.
So after many years in the limelight this woman went to ground, her whole story was a fabrication.

Hi Paddletoe, only just saw this.  For a good decade I worked in the claims recoveries department at Norwich Union.  Any claims like this, recoveries from Public Liability Insurance would make me groan.  Such claims were so often lost which angered our customers.  You name it I saw it, holes in the road, damages from car washes, barriers falling down onto cars, all manner of goods falling off lorries onto our insureds vehicles etc.  Was your car damaged and are your insurers involved, what is their take on the incident?  See if somebody can drive you out to where this took place so that you can get photos.  Chances are that signs, barriers, lights etc are now in place as is often the case and too late for you. Good luck.

Wildman this will be my last past on this thread but once again please don't talk about me when you make untrue things. I have no personal bad experiences with the catholic church other than the one where I walked out of one church when one priest was giving his "sermon". There are many fine priests.
On the topic of the catholic church you don't seem to share my views the way they covered up abuse so when you when you talk about morals that should be your starting point. And on the subject of compensation for these abuses money does not put it right so again that's where we differ. And on the topic id money they seemed to have a money tree which had more than enough to pay out more money than any church worthy of its name should have which is again where we differ.

We can talk about other things on another thread but only if you are prepared to ask specific questions and answer my replies.
Re this topic my wife was in the front passenger seat and could not get out of the car due to the nature of the accident. She also had visible physical injuries but they were thankfully not serious.  I never went over a pot hole I was travelling down a small country round at night and while someone could be criminally responsibe it would be hard to prove who that was.

About this doctor who you seem to respect so much without knowing anything about she made it into an issue of compensation immediately. I may have in her opinion needed a few quid due to my appearance as I dress down on work days but here is my question to you who likes to give the impression of sticking up for the common person do you think she would have "treated" me the same way if I was a business man wearing a suit or a priest wearing a uniform of a priest which you show blind loyalty and value it above the people of your country.

Now please feel free to start a separate thread and answer the question on what basis you claim I hate my country and  feel free to ask some other specific comments again about me if you want to stand by them and accept my offer to disprove them on the basis of them being based on one of making a donation to charity of eithers choosing following verifiable proof being provided.

Lets call it a bet rather than a claim for personal damages so there is no confusion about what its about. And make it big enough to put a value on that moral high ground you like to operate on.

That's all for now.

Thanks for the advice about needing lessons in writing sentences to the person who made that remark.  If someone in your family is hurt in an accident and a doctor acts a certain way if you are concerned about your proper use of English your not much of a person. Infact your not much of anything.

Its not your writing that would worry me its your comprehension.

Read the thread again paying particular attention to my first reply to Facts.

This doctor was busy, her surgery was probably full with sick peopl and there were you wasting her time.
If a businessman or a priest were chancing their arm like you they would have got pitched as well.

I hope you make a claim,I hope they challenge it and tear you apart in the witness box, costs given against you.
You would then realise that those nice bewigged gentlemen are bigger chancers than you.
