How many were starving after the first concert back in the 1980s? I was, it had a been a long day though. How many are starving now? Pure coincidence I'm sure. Probably more peckish than starving to be honest. |

Thousands die each day from dehydration. I belong to WaterAid and donate money monthly. I know the monies people donate makes a difference. Lives are saved. We can't just make excuses and ignore it. |

18 Nov 14 02:34 How many lived, that would have died ? Hundreds, if not thousands. And between them they knocked out thousands of children that were doomed to starvation, and maybe the spread of disease. And those children grew up and had more children, and so it will carry on. It's an ongoing problem that will probably never be solved by sending aid. It may not be palatable to most, but to let them die off is doing them a long term favour. Stop all aid and within 5 years there will be nobody left. Problem solved. |

Wikipedia "During mid-November 2008, a local for-profit organisation, Diversity@Work, invited Geldof to Melbourne, to speak about Third World poverty and the failure of governments to combat the crisis. It was later revealed that he was paid A$100,000 for his speech, which included a luxury hotel room and first-class airfares."[50] |

19 Nov 14 01:19 What a charming fella.... Maybe you should've got a job with the Third Reich, and persuaded hitler to run the trains to Africa. I wasn't born when the Third Reich were at the height of their popularity. Hitler should have an upper case 'H' btw. I have no idea why Hitler would want to conquer Africa, it's a bit like me being King of the field behind my house. Nothing there, been dug over by the farmer, and it stinks of fertiliser. Mind you, if Hitler did, there was plenty of slave labour available on site though, to dig the rail tunnel under the water. |
