Schalke,
Trading on bf between jobs sounds like a good gig to me?

That's still over £10 a hour.  With no qualifications or skills what exactly do you see yourself doing that will earn you that sort of money.
Do you include tips in your income?  If not bonus, if yes then tax free

I understand how much you can hate doing something non-stop every day , it feels like a big waste of time , but you're your own man making your own wage & some people would swop places with you tomorrow

How about you come & play online poker all day long & i'll drive your cab around fora month , you'd soon want your old job back Crazy

People keep saying it's not that bad, ok, yeah, I do get to work when I like as you can see I'm on the computer and not at work. Knackered after the busy day yesterday. You see, I don't appreciate this job at all, that's why I put it on the forum to see what others thought of it. If it was worth the effort .. ok, am only doing this on the forum for a week and nobody will see all the services, the tyre changes, the brakes, constant repairs ... not to mention all the sitting around doing nothing and then the passengers who can be so annoying at times, lastly driving just makes you so tired ...

A lot of people hate their job......I hate mine but its easy.  What keeps me going is what I hope it will lead to in the next 5 or so years.   If you want to work from home your gonna have to have emergency wages behind you incase it goes wrong.  That's a reason to be working as a driver and saving a little every day.

Driving a cab is a lot better than some jobs.

You can be a self employed franchisee as a golf club cleaner if you like fresh air and watching sh1t golfers top balls 20 yards into the rough. Tell them the problem is their grooves need cleaning and these useless lummocks will be falling over themselves to part with their hard earned!

Driving is sooo tiring.  Its my main income at the moment for some crazy reason.  I get home, sit down and the Mrs cant understand why I have such issues with driving round to shop or to a friends.......everything she plans involves me driving in some way.  It messes with my back

Its 10.30am. stunning outside. I'm on holiday. mrs is out for the day.  I can actually see the rainforest and its hiking trails.  And I'm sat wrapped in a towel struggling to do anything because I've got a bet running that will win me $4.  Its the self-discipline to make the most of the flexibility that has always been my downfall when I've tried fulltime.

Now,having explained where you are right now. There would be no way on earth I would be on a computer ... mind you, the last holiday with my ex that's what I done, 8 hours a day on a computer the whole holiday betting on anything ... get yourself out there, go for a long walk, take your good lady out for dinner when you get back and have a few beers Grin ... forget betting for a few days ...

Taxi driving nearly always looks better to people on the outside.

It's generally mind-numbing stuff,
boring,
same conversations all day (and night)
very tiring,
very unpredictable (takings wise),
not very good for your health,
occasionally dangerous (late-night nutters, drunks, vomit in cab, etc),
have to work weekends to make proper money (imo),

We're all dooo-oomed, I tells ya.... Sad
