Somehow, I'm reminded of how the Nazis dealt with the Warsaw uprising.
Before I'm accused of anti semitism, don't. |

Whats missing in all the news and reports is what the Palestinians are saying ? do they think the course of action they have taken in backing Hamas is the correct one ? are they totally behind Hamas ? surprised we have not had some comment from the people in the street ,do they think if Hamas rocket Israel and Israel retaliate and they suffer its a job done type of situation ? what is the frame of mind of the average Palestinian ? The rhetoric that comes out of Hamas is rank rotten but surprised we have never heard a single Palestinian talk about the politics behind what is going on and what they think about it all ,perhaps they are afraid of Hamas as they are of the Israelis ,hard to say and i honestly dont know .At times i find the Hamas Rhetoric insulting but unsure if that is a widely shared one .

Hamas were not that popular before the bombing started but i can only imagine that Israels actions have greatly increased their support amongst Palestinians.

breadnbutter, there was report on RT today where ordinary people were interviewed in Gaza. Now obviously they´re not going to come out and criticise Hamas are they?
But what people seem to forget here is Hamas are firing rockets into Palestinian land that was seized illegally by Israel - ie invaded - so they are not attacking Israel at all, merely fighting back against an oppressor. When the Jews in the Warsaw ghetto fought back against the nazis we in the west didn´t root for the boys in black and say the Germans have every right to defend themselves did we? |
|
By:
not many western journos - except Jon Snow - are even willing to go into Gaza (bearing in mind that the IDF have started targetting them) and their media outlets probably don´t care two hoots what Palestinians think anyway...
|
|
By:
If Hamas are so bad that people need to be in effect punished for voting for them, then surely the question to be asked is, what was going on beforehand which made Palestinians vote for such an 'evil' organisation?
In any case, isn't using Hamas rockets as a starting point for this debate a bit like discussing a 2 hour film after only having watched the last 30 seconds? |
|

They're firing rockets into Israel |

Only the US can influence Israel since they write the cheques, I doubt
the Israelis care a jot what Europeans countries say since most of them were complicit in aiding the Nazis ship millions of jews to the concentration camps. |

Alias
I wouldn't worry too much about being accused of anti semitism if I were you. You'll have more time on your hands rebutting accusations ot stupidity, confusion, lack of clarity and historical inaccuracy to be worrying about anything else. Next time you reach for a wholly inappropriate comparison I'd suggest you do a little background reading. Shifting the perception of being thought a fool can be difficult if you make foolish comments. |
|
By:
That's Alias for you. |
|
By:
why don´t you enlighten us eeternal as to why the comparison is so innappropriate, instead of just being a smug git.
|
|
By:
Can't I just be smug and have you all calling ne a cnunt I rather enjoy that?Still if you insist: He gets off to a bad start and goes dowhill unfortunately. Alias gives us no clue to what he refers to. He talks about the Warsaw uprising. There are at least two of those of historical significance. There was the one later in the war where the Poles rose up in the belief that Russian forces were going to help them and the thought is that Stalin stiffed them and they got pasted. Presumably we are to left to guess that what Alias means is the Warsaw ghetto uprising which saw the Jews slowly realising that as Kevin Keegan once famously said at Newcastle that it wasn't like the brochure advertised. Many hundreds of thousands of Jews were packed into an area about 3 kilometres square. You can imagine the living conditions I'm sure. They were led to believe that they were there to be dispersed to work camps until eventually news filtered back that they were being sent to extermination camps (I think Treblinka in this instance but I'm not totally sure). Left with a choice of the gas chamber or going out on their shields some chose the latter and were massacred en masse as was always the intention anyway. The Nazis went from building to building with flame throwers burning the resisters. As you know estimates vary of how man Jews died at the hands of the Nazis but hey what's a few million amongst friends and they did have a final solution to implement didn't they? Now I appreciate that in this instance both sides are involved in a propaganda war. The Israeli's say they've been subjected to repeated wars of aggression from various Arab states for decades who have had the objective of driving them into the sea. Consequently, any fair person would conclude that they go overboard when retaliating in an attempt to say don't fucck with us or this is what you get and to fire a shot across the bough of some of these states who could do Israel serious damage and who in any event test israel's strength by a proxy conflict through Hamas. Some would also argue that they have a callous disregard for civilian life. Of course the Israeli's would ask if those Arab states who invaded them had their civilians at heart or indeed if Hamas firing rockets at them and committing suicide bomb atrocities for many years also have the safety of civilians at heart? I'm sure what all people of good faith can agree on is that at the very highest any link with the Warsaw ghetto uprising is tenuous and I'd suggest that for most right thinking people it would be classed as grossly offensive. So you tell me. Is Alias misguided without much appreciation for history or just a bellend? |
|
By:
Nothing grossly offensive about it at all.
Nail on head when you mentioned hundreds of thousands of people in a few kilometres square. You smug git. |

how can you call someone smug when all those people were killed, little kids staved to death all inside this hellish getto, can you imagine yourself unlucky enough to be born jewish and living in warsaw in that sh1thole for just one day?
its very easy to throw one liners out,but thank GOD it was them and not us! |
|
By:
For people who cannot read properly (Terry McCann ) what I said was that it was not grossly offensive to link the Warsaw ghetto and what is happening in the Gaza strip .
Sica Dan - I don't know . did they ? im not a Hamas spokesman so I wouldn't know. Akabula - I prefer not to converse with trolls who offer nothing of value to a conversation. |

"Sica Dan - I don't know . did they ? im not a Hamas spokesman so I wouldn't know."
no but you would sure as hell know if it was the other way about and make sure everyone else knew |

Are you ashamed of whats happening Burton Brewers? |

thats also just as bad irish, and two wrongs dont make a right, very few can support the jews what they are doing now,but as long as theres a hole in your ar$e ,the j"S and the p"s will never agree on anything, its too deep rooted

If you read my post again, sober, you'll realise it wasn't a comparison except for the action taken by the aggressive, military dominants. As if I'd pay any attention to a rabid fascist like you, EO. the only contributions you make are personal insults anyway, that and tryng to convince people that the likes of Pinochet wasn't a fascist. Odd really, when you seem to be so proud of him. PS. I've got "background reading" coming out my ears, and it's not from the Volkischer Beobachter like your research. |

Note for EO and akabula:
"Israelis" is plural and as such does NOT require an apostrophe. akabula is a Rangers fan so has a built in excuse, but I'm bitterly disappointed in an educated toff like you, EO. ![]() |

What an odd fellow akabula is .
Without a hint of irony he can say that without even thinking about what his tribe have done to catholic natives in my country. Maybe he is just terribly uneducated . Maybe he needs to open his ears the next time he visits Ibrox , home to the most bigoted ,racist ,sectarian ,vile bunch of supporters you will meet in world football. Ironic. |

Regrettably, the Jews have been "disliked" everywhere. You might as well say Rangers fans have never liked the Irish ffs, the statement means as much. |

Good point Fred.
If you see Israeli citizens interviewed they all say the same thing. "They bring it on themselves " Obviously the propaganda is strong , and well truth is its a very racist society . |
