I think "We've done nothing wrong" is meant to refer to the actual disappearance of the child rather than the events that led up to it. I have no doubt that they have regretted those decisions ever since. you think so? remember the early days of the case when they were vilified for leaving the children alone and they actively, and arrogantly, defended themselves. They strike me as a couple who have never questioned how right they are in everything they have ever done. |

By:
try having the worlds cameras pointing at you and see how you react, defending yourself and your family is a natural instinct
they were wrong to leave there kids alone but like i have said before - not worse than not even knowing where your kid is aka Mr Prime Minister. |

this is utter bollox now isnt it? e-fits of suspected people 6 years later
![]() Comes across as a crimewatch "promotion" for more viewers |

I never normally watch Crimewatch but will be watching this with interest.
It would be fantastic if that little girl could be found alive, but deep down, I don't believe Crimewatch will unearth anything of use, just probably throw a lot of unanswered questions at the viewing public. |

just read on bbc news the timeline has changed significantly, they went to eat at 8 30 and new sh,d been taken alegedly by 10,00, how can that change, she could have been gone at 8 31 or 9 59,
people will still have reported sightings at say 6 00 or 11 30, seems a complete load of rollocks and everyone concerned because of the headlines could look rather foolish by 10 00 tomorrow night they,ll hav had no calls this week but at least 40 to 50 saddo,s will ring in tomorrow night,if you no something ring now,put the efits up now,put these new timelines up now,its a complete joke |

With the libel trial going on in Portugal it's all about managing the news.

That was always the story with Gerry checking on her at 9ish then another friend at 930 who said, rather strangely, that he didn't actually see whether Maddie was there or not. |

What's the diff between German & Dutch? Ann frank
A New Zealand girl was forced to have a DNA test, how cruel is that |
|
By:
i reckonto justify the appeal , the macaans will say they felt something strange as though they were been watched whilst gerry was playing tennis,
think the betfair detective agency cold case squad should be assembled in readiness for tomorrow nights show |

I agree with G1 Jockey that it is puzzling that the other members of 'The Tapas 9' never seem to have been considered and eliminated as suspects , especially as they were actually going into the apartment alone 'to check the kids' .
|
|
By:
one of the tapas 9 said she saw a man carrying a child away, maybe she,s remembered that she also saw him putting the towels on the sunbeds at 8.40 hence the german connection and the detectives eureka moment,

I will be interested to see what this new time line makes of
the infamous Jane Tanner statement. Why did she say that she passed Gerry and his friend on that narrow street at the same time she witnessed the so-called abductor (AKA Egg-man, Swarthy man, Victoria Beckham, Singing Detective.......). When both Gerry and friend deny seeing her or abductor. Someone is lying through their teeth here, surely. |

Police fooked up and now we will never know. But this crimewatch "update" is just for viewing figures. It modern day Lord Lucan, wheeled out now and again to poke over and wonder

Sadly, if you have read a lot about this...not the stage managed crap in the UK media, there is one unavoidable conclusion as to what happened. Put it this way, they went to a priest in Portugal and went to confession and he has indicated he told them things. Plus, despite them managing to get an audience with the Pope, shortly afterwards the Vatican website removed all reference. One wonders if intelligence had been fed back....

The photofit was constructed from evidence given by the Smith family ? So if you read the book by Amaral he claims the Smith family contacted the police in Portugal months later indicating it was Gerry they saw carrying the child in the street. How can any of this be reliable information...?
