McCanns V Goncalo Amaral
Gonçalo Amaral's book did not add “anything new” Two members of the Judiciary Police have stated yesterday in court, that Gonçalo Amaral's book did not add anything new to what was already known regarding the process of the investigation of the English child, who disappeared in the Algarve, in May 2007. The statements of these two witnesses, Luís Neves and Ricardo Paiva, concur with Gonçalo Amaral's defence argument, which alleges that the book written by the former coordinator of the Judiciary Police “contained nothing new, nothing that wasn't published before”. http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2013/10/goncalo-amarals-book-contained-nothing.html |

he should give every penny he made from the book to the mccanns or at least to charity for missing children
|
|
By:
I wonder how much Clarence Mitchell gets paid. Does anyone know?
He gave up a senior civil service role with a £70k salary to take this on. I know that there was a 'mystery' donor paying him in the early days. Is this still the case? |

the mccanns or at least to charity for missing children
two very different things |

By:
did I read in the papers yesterday, KATE MCCANN WANTS TO CLEAR HER NAME, didn't mention HIS name.

He's the Tory party candidate for Brighton and Hove and was probably influential in the launch of Operation Grange. A lot of the press releases have his stench all over them. He's probably working on the basis that people's attention spans are so short they will forget quickly that a photofit was ever mentioned - like those arrests that were going to come within weeks. Unclear if he gets any money from the McCanns. Find Madeleine is a limited company and only a handful of people (board members) know where the money goes. |

nice find A-T

@A_T
I remember an uproar in the early days of the Find Madeleine Fund when the mccanns used cash from it to pay their mortgage. Whilst they don't list the spend the objectives of the fund are clearly defined as funding the search to find Madaleine and covering the families expenses. |

if there was a prowler with a distinctive feature who,s still around [ there isnt ]. can the police [gravey train] and the mcaans tell us why they,ve giving any such person 10 days notice that his mugshot is going to be plastered world wide
|
|
By:
obviously besides the fact that if any such person excists the gravey train is pulled into the sidings,
, we wouldnt want that would we, ![]() |
|
By:
Maybe there are other, more logical, reasons.
|
|
By:
Utterly ridiculous why give anyone who feels they might come under suspicions notice that their face is going to be splashed everywhere. This is typical of the kind of nonsense that has always attached itself to this "search".
It is no coincidence that this is happening while the libel trial is on. It's all about managing the news. |
|

maybe the need to look more at the mccanns dinner guests?

INTERESTING. I am thinking that they are not sharing the same bed...../house? |

Have they split up ready to fight corners?

Seen a preview of next weeks programme featuring the reconstruction.
Her "We've done nothing wrong here it's the people who took Madeleine who are to blame" or words to that effect. So leaving three kids all under the age of 3 alone night after night whilst you go out enjoying yourselves is okay. |

By:
its like going back to start

|
By:
I think "We've done nothing wrong" is meant to refer to the actual disappearance of the child rather than the events that led up to it.
I have no doubt that they have regretted those decisions ever since. ![]() |

too little too late they should have cooperated properly with the police at time

just seen Kate McCann on tv....looks skeletal and i can't help feeling she is close to breakdown.Gerry on the other hand looks as though he has'nt a care in the world....either that or he hides his feelings well.

She's probably seething at Kenwright for not giving Baines a new contract..
|

By:
they both knew they made a tragic mistake, leaving children unattended
1.01 the new evidence is a big let down |
|
By:
I really dont understand this new timeline angle. Are we to assume that after 5 years the mccanns have realised that their recollection of events & time may have been wrong.Cant bring myself to believe that the mccanns were responsible for her death, apart from the obvious dereliction of parental duty, but the behaviour & body language of the father is very strange.

When viewing this couple I think you have to factor in that Gerry McCann is an arrogant b*st*rd.

Mrs McCann wrote in 2011: “I was following her with my eyes, admiring her. I wonder now if someone else was doing the same.” very strange thing to write,it makes out like a fiction novel |

Hmmm. I've got to say that IF it was an abduction, and that is my impression, it would almost certainly be done to order. I don't know who might place such an order, otherwise they would have snatched a more prolific, dark-haired child. But a fair-haired child might be seen as 'special' in some areas.
I often wonder if the strange anomaly with her eye should have been kept quiet. I can see good reasons for and against that. |

we dont hear much about that furat fella and his photography mate who sky put in the frame, why dont the police arrest the priest and make him tell them what he knows, should give the scouse some sleepless nights
