Take another bint to Malta, pump her silly, and pump a few local lasses if ye get the chance as well.

Return home continue in same vein (pump her two friends as well of course) until your wanger resembles a blood orange. The pain will soon ease (except your wangers)

Good luck Mr E and enjoy every minute, life's too short to be worrying about one lady...

I chased after the love of my life for 6 months back when I was 21, safe to say I made a fool of myself, it feels like someone has died the pain is that bad, but all I can tell you is do NOT chase after her and CUT ALL contact...its the only way m8.

Sounds like she is definitely going through some kind of 'phase'. Confused about what she wants and who she wants right now. She might think the grass is greener on the other side, so to speak. My advice - Dont contact her at this stage, it will only push her further away. Try and get on with your life, be positive mate, use your friends and family for support but DONT contact her. Let her be the one to get in touch with you and I believe me, she will, in time. And you might even have moved on yourself by then.

But on a lighter note, you can now enjoy the things that really matter in life, like golf, Betfair, cold beers and take-aways. Have fun while waiting for the next bus to come along Wink

Some surprisingly reassuring words of wisdom on this thread...hope you listen Mr.E and you can find the strength to turn her down if she comes around and regrets everything - get rid, KEEP rid...no second chances, as then you'd be her hostage and it'd be a matter of time before she mentally ransacked you again - make NO mistake!

On the bright side...you're lucky there are no kids involved - that's when the pressure gets exponential!

As a few shrewdies have suggested...shag whatever you can and sample the delights out there (even online) but the most important single piece of advice I have given my mates over the years (and several have said it's worked) is to NEVER let them enter your head when you're having a wank!
That way you're not subconsciously drip-feeding yourself, piping all the positive thoughts, memories & images into your skull's hard-drive, thereby making the recovery more protracted.

It's been over two years for me and I still think about her nearly every day but I've since filled my boots & emptied my sac...it works mate Wink

The only down side is being too weak to refuse a 'replay' with a cadaver, because it's there & readily available Blush

Not a fishing thread sadly. I wish it was.

Saw her in town today on my way to putting on a cheeky placepot on my lunch hour. Had a brief chat about inane stuff... I was surprised how easy conversation went. It was just like usual.

Moving out the house in 2 weeks.... I bloody hate moving at the best of times.

Sorry to hear this Mr Eboue.

I have been through this a few times, the one that is similar to yours happened when I was 25 we had been together 3 yrs( nearly 20yrs ago). We had a holiday booked in Malia and we split up a week or so before I still went and enjoyed myself.

My advice is  don't hassle her or go chasing her, nor should you start jump into bed with others just to get over it. Be yourself, look after yourself get out with friends talk about it to close confidants and family is good at times like this. Don't go looking at blaming others like her best friend. The relationship had probably run it's time.

To clear your head though you do not need to be friends with her, it will really hurt if she finds another partner before you. So tell her that you need your own space. As time goes on you will remember the good times.

This is just a part of life, it gets easier and as I say about any couple " They will either split up or one of them will die" and I've only been wrong once, when they both died together.

Take control of your life and live it for you.

Yeah at first my plan was to win her back but I realise now ( especially after reading all the great posts on here ) that isnt going to work.

I've sorted out a house only 5 mins from where I live now which is a big weight off my mind.

I'm a real creature of habit so living without her is going to be really hard to begin with i fear.

Once again thanks so much for the advice.

Your new house is 5 mins from where you lived with her ? Is she staying in that house ? If so - mistake. You need to move away - so there is no risk of bumping into her - as you said you did today.

I can't believe the number of replies without someone suggesting Mr E hooks up with ex-girlfriends mate ;)

Time will sort everything out, just don't wallow in your own self pity and enjoy your trip to Malta.

Imagine being in this situation but having to work with the girl knowing you can't really leave your (well paid) job as getting another one in this climate is nigh impossible? Now that is hell. Be thankful you are not in that situation. Make a clean cut from her and if you can get someone else to go at short notice get yourself down to St Julians in Malta.

Take solace in the fact you pulled such a looker in the first place. At 23 sounds like she wants to have a play rather than settle down.

When I split up with my ex a few years back, my ego got a nice boost by hooking up with a bit of Scando totty about 13 years younger than me who likened me to a hammer drill. Er, probably not ideal advice though as you're 27 Plain

Mr. E, I'll spill the beans on what happened to me. From 15 til 24 I lived with a blue eyed blonde goddess. She made Cameron Diaz look like the ugly Sister. I should have married her but was so busy being a complete and utter git I messed up. Without doubt the biggest mistake of my life. I did get in contact years later which perhaps was a mistake but I'm glad she is happy now in Canada and in a good place without me. It still hurts though. What an idiot I was.
