Larrence's record collection should merit a custodial. Imagination and Shalamar albums should be three months each alone

If he's got them all saved on the computer, when he takes his hard drive to some techy nerd in PC World, it will make when the Police seized Gary Glitter's hard drive look like a slap on the wrist.

Always sad to hear m8. I split with my gf of 14 years about 18 months ago, after giving up a good job, flat, everything to live together in Germany. We´re good friends now and I´m still living here in the same small town.
However, I found this song very comforting at the time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpyQi3SEuuY |

DONEMYLOT my wife and I split it was her idea, her age 43. The majority of women I have loved are mentalists who never knew what they wanted.
I'm happier without them. |

many many years ago my 1st love dumped me for someone else after we'd gone out for nearly 3 years - I was heartbroken, I couldn't eat. I wished she had died as that would have been easier.
I tried to stay in contact as she wanted to stay friends but it was before mobile phones so if I wanted to ring her I had to ring her student house landline. I once rang and the person who answered mistook me for her new fella - it was very painful. But I made the (correct) decision to cut off all ties Got friendly with some lads (one being a fellow Toffee) at my uni who had all been dumped by longterm girlfriends in the previous 2 months and we just got pi$$ed, went for a curry and had a great laugh for about 6 months without women - then we all started getting involved with women again. If I hadn't have been dumped I know I would not have had as good a time at uni as I did. Best social couple of years of my life. The fellow toffee and I ended up travelling all over England and Europe following Everton Towards the end of Uni I met another girl and I've now been married for nearly 19 years with 3 wonderful kids Therefore as many others have said, cut off all ties |

Once you get EVIDENCE of how cold, bitter, self-destructive, bad or untrustworthy they can be, it's time to press the ejector seat...no exceptions!
I'm not a hypocite and I've done that twice with the two greatest loves I've had - it's a better alternative than being mentally weak, under the cosh and a convenience for someone whilst everyone sníggers behind your back. Mr.E - maybe it's a sign of the high esteem you're held in on this forum that people haven't been booting you in the balls when you're down, telling you she's getting nailed elsewhere etc., but that scenario (as unpalatable as it sounds to you) is hugely likely to be the reality of it, so get attuned to it because that situation is a 'time-bomb' for you to witness when you're living just around the corner from her. You can't mentally afford to be a sentimental fart remembering the positive stuff otherwise you'll never get over it! You have to use all the negatives as motivation for yourself, and for self-preservation purposes. From what I've experienced, and witnessed what's occurred with my mates, I've NEVER seen one-off pu$$y have a detrimental effect - in fact, the complete opposite...it's been a much needed ego boost! I reckon it's a fair bet that the ones on here who DON'T advocate using other women to shag this girl out of your system are all under 40yo - I think it's a generation thing. Get out with your mates at the weekend and just fcuk something...anything! As long as it's female ![]() Good luck squire, because if you don't mentally help yourself, you'll still be thinking about her (every day!) in the years to come and it'll still be in a positive light - that'll fcuk your skull! |

The first step you need to take is to emotionally come to terms that it really is over. You could sit there for years waiting and hoping and see your life disappear.

I started this thread in a flood of tears having not eaten properly for 3 days. I was shaking like an alcoholic and couldn't keep a thought in my mind for more than a split second.
A couple of days later and it's still hurting like hell but having read this thread I must say I feel a damn site better. I've accepted it now which is the big thing. What's happened has happened for a reason... Tomorrow is going to be hard thinking I should have been on a beach with her.... I'm also finding it hard when people ask how she's doing and then having to explain we're over. Feels a bit weird being in the house all alone ( I've stayed at my sisters a few nights this week ). I cant thank you guys enough for your kind words and advice. I really have drawn strength from them. Much love. Patrick. |
