Q. Which England player once took over the goalkeeper's jersey for his club team in a League Cup semi-final while the regular goalie was being treated for an injury for 20 minutes - saving a penalty, only for it to be scored on the rebound?

Why Stoke City v West Ham can claim to be the best cup tie ever

"Whhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1365422/Stoke-City-v-West-Ham-Why-1972-semi-final-claim-best-cup-tie-ever.html#axzz2K42FM1yu

1972 - second replay at Old Trafford where Stoke won 3-2.

Moore stepped in for the injured Ferguson, blocking a Mike Bernard taken penalty a few minutes later - but one  Bernard then got a goal from on the rebound.

The Mighty Potters then went on to win the League Cup that year - beating Chelsea.
