Every 66 minutes.

By:
West virginia correct, 66mins incorrect. I am guessing it would be pushing it to expect anyone to get the other four states.

Not my answer muntz, but your attention to detail has made me slightly doubtful.

By:
1h 5m 12s?

I should have got West Virginia straight away. During my degree I studied...evidently not very well...poverty in the Appalachians. Was a big scandal as I recall in the late 60s, early 70s, about how Americans...WHITE Americans had been left behind. There's inner city poverty too of course, but also wealth.

Ok, at midnight they are together, and then 24 hours later they are together again. That is 24x60 minutes equals 1440 minutes. During that time they cross 22 times? My answer says 65 mins, but that calc gives it as what muntz said. Wd muntz you have made a total monkey of the qm, hope you're proud of yourself.

Was dolly parton from west virginia...? Well sure it was appalachia country, and she had a real poverty ridden childhood, well surprising to me.
|
|
By:
I used the same logic, but over 12 hours
(Together 11 times in the twelve hours after midnight) |
|
By:
Dolly was from tennessee, grew up in a one room cabin one of twelve children. All things are relative, but that is remarkable poverty having read bill brysons book about his upbringing at a similar time in iowa... Both white too.

Yeah I've just refreshed my knowledge! LBJ's war on poverty began in 1963. I imagine the other four are in that region? Kentucky? North Carolina?
The film Deliverance was required viewing! |
|
By:
Ok the other ones are...
Mississippi and S Carolina (not surprising) N Mexico (a bit surprising) Idaho ( very surprising) Idve though alabama, loisiana, georgia all that area, maybe tennessee and kentucky too. |
|
By:
Yeah I'm amazed to see Idaho there. I guess New Mexico there are many recent immigrants.
|
|
By:
Delaware and alaska (excluding DoC) are the top two... Both were given as guesses on this thread. I have just rechecked as I doubted myself... Idaho is second per head.
|
|
By:
Idaho second lowest I mean.
|
|
By:
Yeah I guess with Alaska you NEED to be rich to survive up there!
