There was not 20 forensic officers there. The majority of the police are helping cordon it off while the small team of FO`s get on with it.

If the police are cordoning off a family house and plan a 2 day forensic inspection, the odds are they are suspicious of something there. Otherwise they would be placing manpower looking elsewhere.

Lets put it this way, if it was a horse race and one studied the form I wonder what the betting would be!

and, the mother should be upfront, leading the charge to find her kid - cannot think of anything that would justify her non-appearance.

Any loving mother who might be too distressed would try to ovecome that state if she thought it would help locate the child! We have seen mothers weeping while making televised appeals. Of course people are not all the same, but nevertheless, it does the family no favours!

it seems the girl spent most of the time at the grandmother's house. this would indicate that she had a bad relationship with her mother. They might think an appeal from her would be counter productive as the girl would revel in hurting her mother

Police have now sealed off an area around her grandmother's home, where she was last seen a week ago.
More than 20 forensic officers arrived at the house.
The grandmother left the house with police officers.
Looks like they have something more positive now.

Are they thinking Stuart's DNA/seamen may be in the bedding then?

I don't like speculation, but just wondered if that is what you lot are alluding to?

We know it is a pretty messed up/rough family already... but where was the grandmother stopping out to?

Hard to tell Angry Monkey. Little other than rumours at the moment. Perhaps it was DNA or semen. Perhaps it was blood?   We also don't know what the 'results' of the dog was the other night. He was seen coming out of the house with a rubber ring in his mouth, supposedly his toy - this would usually be given to the dog only if he had 'found something'. Did he find something? And if so, what did he find?

We just don't know at the moment. The only thing that does seem sure is that the police have discovered something that has made them throw as many resources into examining the house as possible. The bedding is rumoured to have been the big clue, but that's only a rumour.
