But find it hard to imagine the state of mind a person must get in when you think there is no other way. And the ones who really suffer are the ones left behind who have to live with it. |

She slept in the car because she forgot to take her door keys with her when she went for a drive. She didn't knock on the front door because she didn't want to wake the children up.

The bit about her saying she drove away and then came back realising she had forgot her keys.She said didnt want to wake her boys up by knocking on the door, so slept in the car (in late November) now I've been pissed before and tried to sleep in the car and its a nightmare (freezing)
But she was happy to get up and go around to the back of the garage at 6am. Was she going to get in the house that way, or was she happy waking her boys up at 6am on a sunday morning (remember she wasnt happy to wake them the night before !! And if she was going to get in that way, why the F..k didnt she do that at 2am ??? My feeling is she never slept in car, and drove off somewhere to meet someone else and returned at 6am. And this may be the reason for the argument with Gary. By the way, if He did leave suicide note explaining why he commited suicide, The wife would have discovered it and read it (I beleive she discovered him alone). If it painted her as the reason I'm not surprissed no letter has appeared-- Are You ??? Maybe I've watched too many episodes of Columbo..... |

not sure hugh... they did argue though it says in the inquest this is the case so what that argument was about has been kept secret could this not give us the reasons for his suicide and end all this speculation.

My thinking is that he sat there on the stares, in his wet clothes in his garage with the TV aerial cable wrapped around his neck, shivering in his garage and passed out, and passed away.

I've seen it said that basically the press have left a lot out of what was said at the inquest.
With Leveson going on the press are skating on thin ice at the moment and the last thing they want is to be slammed for reporting upsetting personal details. |

What Gary Speed did, is similar to what happens just every day in the world. People do things which end their lives. People just think its mysterious because he was famous.

agree angel but even so alot of time you here rumours of the people who knew them some may be right some just false rumour.
Seems strange that you would text your wife to mention that you were contemplating suicide although as discussed at the time, I guess logic and straight thinking aren't top of the agenda for someone in that position. To go from that to 'exchanging a few words' and 'may still be an accident', still more questions than answers |

I suggested at the time that it was a relationship issue. These issues are always terribly complex deeply personal but because your'e in the public eye played out in court in other a divorce or sadly in Gary Speed's case the coroner's court.
Human nature I would suggest she blames herself for what happened but never thought he would actually do what he did. The only good that can come out of this is through learning and ultimately helping all of us faced with these terribly emotive issues if and when they arise but to Gary's family sadly it wont bring him back. |

You have to understand the role of the coroner and the verdicts available to him. I can see why people think it's an unsatisfactory explanation, but let's be honest, this thread is just rubber-necking. It's no more or less repugnant than your average thread, but there's no genuine public interest element here, it's just staring at the crash. Pretending otherwise is dishonest. |

Im not sure what more the coroner could have said on the case. No note, no e mail etc.
The coroner said "the evidence does not sufficiently determine whether this was intentional or accidental". |

To me 2 question remain unanswered 1) why the threats to commit suicide 2)what was the argument about she did leave to cool down she said and returned at 6am something big must have gone on why wasnt this revealed at the inquest |
