Coroner says no evidence to say Gary Speed intended to take his own life.

A very selfish act by Gary Speed. Looks like he did it to spite his wife.

There is a cover up and this inquest may have believe it didnt tell the public the whole story for the right reasons.

But it has done nothing to stop the speculation for that reason most people such as myself who would like to see closure on this has not got this.

For this reason this was a poor and shody verdit that has helped stoke the fire that breed speculation.

You are looking for a story that isnt there. He was feeling sorry for himself, had too much to drink, wanting to spite his wife and seeking some attention he acted selfishly and immaturely and hung himself..

Very strange that a grown man hangs himself and the only possible explanation given is that he fell asleep while sitting in his garage with a rope tied round his neck (as you do).

I agree entirely Daz; its all very strange. U dont have a conversation with your wife by text re possible suicide, go to a party, come home and sit in your garage and after a row hang yourself

Considering your virtual hysterical interest in the case you should be aware of how rare a "suicide" verdict is unless there are blatant signs and clear intentions(notes etc)no coroner in the land would ever give a suicide verdict unless it was pretty beyond doubt.I've o idea if insurance still refuse payout on suicice verdicts though.

You're just trotting out the tired old cliche of "red tops" with stories at the ready.You'l find that not one red top ever gave even the slightest of hints they had ANYTHING at all on Speed.

the results of the inquest....

1)gary sent a text threatening to take his own life.

2)gary has an argument bad enough for his wife to take leave and sleep in the car.

3)gary found hanged but it may have been an accident mmmmm...strange that he walked into a noose only days after threatening to committ suicide

Where are the missing links like why was he threatening to committ suicide and what was the argument about and does the inquest delibaretly not tell us these things to fuel speculation or are these people in law so out of touch they think this will be the end of it.

To be honest I think the coroner did the best he could given the evidence that was presented to him.
