Hi Kenny,
Here is a photo of my latest garden ornament.
He/she started coming to eat food put out for the birds and was clearly starving.
I've started putting out some proper crunchy cat food and he/she turns up regular as clockwork.
Still scared though and runs away when approached.

Looks cute, Foinavon. Persevere, he/she will come round. My cat Leo was terrified of everyone a few years back.

It's very young, Kenny and is not dishevelled which makes me think it's not feral. So why is it scavenging for crusts? I can't understand why people don't feed their pets properly. I would rather give it a handful of cat food than look out one morning to a pile of blackbird feathers on my lawn.

If you remind me which town/city u r in, F, I'll get the number for the local cat's protection. They may be prepared to come and try and trap the cat to see if it has a chip. It may have jumped in a van and be 50 miles from home. Look on lost/found cat/animal  sites as well including facebook, and take a photo and put in the found section.

I suspect it comes from the nearby council estate.  I'm not sure I want cat protection people messing around in my garden but I'll certainly look on the lost and found sites. If it becomes friendly enough for me to pick up, I'll take it to the vet to have it checked for a chip.
