This sounds more and more like the Italian prosecution. It could easily be that he accidentally killed her and looked up the difference between murder and manslaughter in the eyes of the law. |

that's right - the fatal struggle was heard by people outside who dismissed it as 'a party' or something.
that's the bit that gets me - how nearly the whole thing came to not happening. If a nosey neighbour or passerby had stopped and thought 'was that really 'nothing'? . I'll check it out'. |

what also needs to be understood is how some bloke, with a good life (job, girlfriend etc) found himself murdering his neighbour. Perhaps he wonders that too. Whatever, his underlying pathology is most unusual and interesting ('interesting' only in the sense that a full understanding could assist with spotting these types before they commit murder)

^^^ do you reckon? that's an interesting possibility. I think it's pretty much standard practice for the cops to investigate exactly that possibility nowadays (finally).
