Roy Scheider was so convinced that the American moonlandings of 1969 were hoaxed that, after he had paid off gambling debts owed to co stars Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw, accrued during the long hours of idleness on the "Orca" whilst awaiting a Shark nibble, he used the rest of  his paycheck from the 1975 Speilberg classic " Jaws " to build a rocket to go and see for himself!

After several aborted launch attempts from his neighbour's yard ( his was not big enough at the time ) he finally successfully took off at 2: 16 pm on the 13th April 1977.
Till the day he died he would only reveal that his subsequent findings were,.. " inconclusive "
