Journeyman and his chums

Presumably there weren't enough Murray fans to actually spell his name in full?  That would require six, after all.

The benefit of resting out an unsuitable warm-up tournament, a dip in the form of Djokovic, and Federer peaking a little early for an old boy.

Add into this the lesser pressure and expectation of playing on the surface, and Murray's prospects for the French Open have to be considered attractive.

His first game's today......armed with these pearls of wisdom I'm going to jam the mortgage on him Laugh

I think we should consider a bit of sympathy for our hero here.

He has an injury and as such maybe should redesignate a Grand Slam as a losing semi final in a major if your back hurts a little bit?

Give the man his due, he may be injured but he's a fighter, lost set 1 and went out to 20s on here, now 1.01 to win the match

Ah, here is a little window into the mind of our hero, Andy.  Virginia Wade said that Murray was being a drama queen about his back.  He replied:

“I know how I felt on the court,” he said. “I know how bad it was. And then you have people like that who always have to come out and say something controversial, when really they should be supportive".

Why?  Why should she be supportive?  You supporters are supportive, your detrators are not.  Thats how it is Andy.

But this phrase evidences his true mind set - we should be supportive.  Not he would like us to be, or hopes that we might be, we should be.

Spoilt little brat.

Sheesh. You lot aren't fit to drink Murray's piss in a crystal glass with your Jubilee strawberries.

The sheer guts and bloodstained grit the lad showed to get through the epic of two days ago, rewarded today with a much easier passage today.
A lot of credit to Andy Ireland as well for getting Mighty Muzz back on the yellow brick road to (hopefully) sporting justice.

Why not?  Has he saved some lives?  Has a written an operatic masterpiece that will sound down the generations?  Has he engineered perpetual motion for the first time?

No.  He has played tennis very well, but not quite well enough to win a Grand Slam.

Has he saved some lives?  Er... No
Has a written an operatic masterpiece that will sound down the generations?  Defintiely not
Has he engineered perpetual motion for the first time? Still no

And you still aren't fit to drink his piss.

Now think about it.

Now think about it.

Why?  Is it a particularly subtle insult that I shall only know the full force of after a good night's sleep?  Is it positively Wildean in its pithiness?

Or are you just making the same insult twice?
