Confused

He was proudly holding up a glass fruit bowl thing.

So what tournament did he win?

They surely don't hand out trophies to losers

So when is his his next big chance, I can hardly wait.

The vision of journeyman laconically pushing himself up from his comfy TV-room seat to go and open this thread at the end of the relevant semi-final. keeps me warm these cold april evenings.

I'm thinking I'll have a dash at a multi consisting of Andy Murray winning the French Open and Lee Westwood winning the British Open. Full bank job. I'm on the road to riches with this strategy surely. Cool

Andy Murray, 2008, said that he had studied world rankings and went on:

"the average age for peaking [in the rankings] was 23 to 25.  That is when you are at your strongest physically".

Guess who is 25 on Tuesday?  Laugh

The benefit of resting out an unsuitable warm-up tournament, a dip in the form of Djokovic, and Federer peaking a little early for an old boy.

Add into this the lesser pressure and expectation of playing on the surface, and Murray's prospects for the French Open have to be considered attractive.

You do get the impression someone in the Murray camp is aware of our little thread.  It must be a massive lift for the lad that he knows so many of us are keenly recording his progress so accurately.

I've no doubt at all that he knows about the thread. All adds to the pressure of course.
I look forward to him sticking two fingers up at us all in the camera when he wins his first one.
In the meantime, it's still
